[ The feed opens up to Loki, dressed in a white shirt and black tie and slacks. He seems to be in a facility somewhere in Riverview, one that might not be familiar to most. He taps a pencil on a clipboard, his bid to look professional. Even his hair is combed back, a few strands tied together with a silver clasp. ]

Greetings. I work at the Gramarye Research Facility for Magic and I was hoping to get some examples of magic taken place in Riverview. Any will do, even ones where your own magic has clashed with the rules of this reality. If you could make it short and precise, I would be most . . . grateful.

[ Hm. A fair question. While names have power and certainly he has worked that magic before, it can rebound in a place like Riverview. He purses his lips. ]

I want the name men would associate with you if they knew your past, your true nature. The name that is whispered in the dark.

What's important to man isn't necessarily the same as what's important to me. However... that name would be Romulus.

[ He'll always be the brother-killer in his own eyes, but the rest of the world — well, that's part and parcel with the story of Rome. They got some things terribly wrong along the way, though. ]

[ A sharp bark of laughter as his grin turns sultry. ]

Those questions deserve no answer. I would be robbing the mythos of their charm otherwise.

[ He just grins back, wide and entertained. ]

I am immortal to mortals.

[ After all, he'll live long enough. ]

But gods have different definitions of immortality.

What's your distinction? I know it's not my turn, but for reference. Personal investment here.

[ Personal or not, Loki isn't too keen on explaining. It hits too close to his own goals. Finally he replies. ]

It varies. For warrior gods, it is the glory of past deeds and noteworthy achievements in history.

So if everyone's immortal... then you guys define it by who'll be remembered longer.

[ He'll take it. It's too much to hope for getting some insight into his own situation. ]

Hey, I can appreciate that. Most people don't last that long with bonding exercises, anyway.

. . . You have a curious definition of what constitutes as "bonding".

Learning things about each other tends to be one of the definitions. At least in English.

I believe it also requires affection and trust.

[ Aspects Loki are incapable of displaying. ]

I think those are supposed to come from the bonding. Don't quote me on that one.

Anyway, it was a joke. Long as we both had fun, I'll consider it a win.

I suppose it was enjoyable.
