[ Those viewing the network will be greeted with the sight of a young man with red hair and green eyes wearing a tight-lipped smile on his face. He's really trying to keep it together. He's been taken away from his family and friends again. ]

I'm starting to think I'm the punchline to the worst joke in the universe. Though I have to admit this place is a step up from where I spent my last involuntary vacation.

[ Of course his last vacation consisted of him being stuck in the Speed Force for years with only his own thoughts to keep him company. ]

Since it appears I'm not going anywhere for the foreseeable future, I figured I should introduce myself. My name is Wally. [ Have a wave, people. ] I'm from Earth. Well, an Earth. I would tell you people some more about me, but I'm a pretty boring guy these days.

[ That's not exactly true. But, the purpose behind him addressing the network is to gather any information he can rather than revealing it. ]

So, what's the deal here? I know what the welcoming committee had to say, but you know how they have a habit of making things sound more grandeur than things are. [ Rather, he isn't sure just how truthful they were being. ] There was a lot of weird stuff going on back home and I just want to make sure this isn't connected somehow.

[ He sighs, running a hand through his hair. What is his life. ]

Whatever information I could get would be appreciated. [ He flashes a much more genuine smile. ] Heck, I'd settle for just knowing where the best place to get a drink is.

I was gonna be hurt if you pulled a Momento on me.

[ Though truth be told it hadn't even occurred to him to wonder until this moment, which probably says more about his state of mind than he wishes it did. ]

You need a pick up? Because I can swing by in ten...

[ Wally can run a whole lot faster, but he's probably taxed as hell from the portal and Dick would rather he not feel obligated to push it even more. ]

[ Referencing Momento? Never change, Grayson. ]

A pick up would be great. It feels like I'm running on fumes at this point.

[ All of this has been emotionally and physically draining. ]

Believe it or not, I was in the middle of fighting Deathstroke before I ended up here.

...You're picking a fight with a guy who fought Superman to a stand-off?

[ There's a genuine note of concern in his voice that he'd be doing a better job of passing off on another day. He's taking the steps down to where the bike is stashed two at a time, prepare for some shakycam. ]

Hang tight, Wally. [ And a little text prompt asks for an address. ]

[ The noticeable concern in Dick's voice has Wally offering his friend a reassuring smile even as the camera shakes. ]

Hey, it was more like the fight picked me.

[ He makes sure to keep his tone light since Dick doesn't need to know some of the finer details like how the trained assassin had taken him captive for nefarious reasons. ]

See you soon, Dick. [ He texts back a location that is several blocks away from the Perimeter Guard building. ]

[ He's been crashing at the lair more than his apartment in housing since Tim arrived, which puts him closer to the perimeter guard compound than housing, as luck would have it.

He's there in the bike in less than five minutes, zipping to the curb beside Wally without further preamble. ]

Hey, stranger.

[ Wally feigns an annoyed sigh as he pushes off the side of the building he was leaning against to greet his friend. ]

About time you got here. I thought I was going to be waiting forever.

[ He does his level best to keep his expression neutral to keep up the ruse, but the corners of his lips twitch up into a smile seemingly on their own accord to let it be known he was kidding around. With that battle lost, he settles for giving the bike a quick once-over before looking at Dick with a raised eyebrow. ]

It's not exactly the Batmobile, but I guess it will do.

Wheels are a luxury in this town.

[ He's missed the hell out of Wally's ribbing. He's missed the hell out of Wally, and the fact that he's noticed that the bike is trash compared to the high-end models he favors at home does a lot to ease that lingering concern.

He's beaming as he hops down, going in for a hug if Wally lets him. ]

Man, it's good to see you.

[ Wally doesn't dare deny Dick the hug and even offers an awkward pat on the back in return. ]

Likewise. Though I'm guessing you've had to wait a little longer for this reunion than I have.

[ He hasn't missed how familiar his friend appears to be with this place; a fact that is disconcerting and leads to even more questions. The answers to those questions can wait until he has a drink in his hand. ]

So, you have a place in mind for that drink?

Would I leave you high and dry? [ It's around the corner, and Dick figures it'll be a short hop back to the lair afterwards if Wally wants to see where they've been hanging out. At the very least, he'll give him the coordinates.

And as they walk: ]

It's been about three months now.

Which is a little crazy to think about, but-

[ There's a lair. There's always a lair. Of course he wants to see this lair.

Wally simply chuckles in response to Dick's question about leaving him high and dry before managing to keep pace as the two begin their journey to their destination around the corner. ]

Three months? Wow. That's a longer vacation than I was hoping for.

[ It also leads him to believe this is probably a Dick from an alternate reality since he was just with him and the rest of the Titans back home. Of course he can't completely discount the possibility there is some time manipulation thing going on he doesn't know about yet. ]

On the plus side, you've probably already done the bulk of the investigation work for me.

I wouldn't want to get predictable in my old age.

[ But it actually means more than he's willing to admit just now, to be pegged like that so quickly. Known up and down the way only your best friend can really know you. He's missed Wally. ]

We can go over the details when we hit the lair. But so far I haven't found any evidence to suggest that they aren't being upfront. At least when it comes to the problems with the transporter.

[ It would be an easier situation to deal with in a way, if he really thought they might be lying. ]
