I noticed other new arrivals asking after their friends. While I could do that, my friends are generally difficult to miss. The Krogan ones especially.
The welcoming party and I had a bit of a go and that landed me nowhere. Sooo I figure maybe someone can help a poor guy out and show him where he can crash? Maybe even find something to eat that won't kill him?
That last one might be a little much to ask for.

[When he speaks up again, he sounds a little confused.]
Oh... you can't eat human food?

[Garrus has a feeling he is going to be explaining this bit to a lot of different people. Best get used to it now.]
Humans evolved in a levo-amino acid based biosphere. My people evolved in a dextro-amino acid based biosphere. The two aren't entirely compatible.

I'm not... exactly sure what that means. [Those terms are flying right over his head.] What's an example of the kind of food you ate back home?

Basically, we're built from different things. [Huge oversimplification, but you'll have that.] Back home...
[From there Garrus provides a little list of food that he'd eat. It probably sounds strange through the translator, but can't be too picky, right?]

Um, wait, you said the...biospheres aren't compatible. Does that mean you'll have trouble while you're here?

I won't have a severe allergic reaction, if that's what you mean. Most of the Normandy crew are human and I've never had a problem.
