I noticed other new arrivals asking after their friends. While I could do that, my friends are generally difficult to miss. The Krogan ones especially.
The welcoming party and I had a bit of a go and that landed me nowhere. Sooo I figure maybe someone can help a poor guy out and show him where he can crash? Maybe even find something to eat that won't kill him?
That last one might be a little much to ask for.

Technically a crash landing is being displaced, but that didn't mean I wanted to leave.

Are you still near the portal? I just got here too, so I can't really give great directions, but I'm more than happy to show you the way.

When you arrive they usually give you a place to stay. Most of us get roomates.
voice
[Grunt is kind of extreme that way.]
As I said, I didn't really stick around for someone to give directions.
voice
but, anyway - ]
Maybe it'd be better to ask, I mean - it's a room for free so you won't have to worry about that sort of thing.

And...I think the food in the city should be safe. [He's just assuming Garrus hasn't had access to fresh food or something along those lines.] What are you in the mood for?
audio
[Not to mention he doesn't quite trust this place. No reason to.]
Given the fact that I've seen quite a few humans coming and going already, I'm not going to make that leap in logic just yet.

[When he speaks up again, he sounds a little confused.]
Oh... you can't eat human food?

Guessing when you say they look like you, you mean 'clearly not from Earth.'
[Garrus was hardly the first Alien he's met, but...]
Describe what a 'Krogan' looks like.
voice
[And mostly human. But things tend to happen around Shepard and the rest of the crew can be just as rowdy.]
Krogan are huge, reptilian bipeds. Typically seven feet tall - maybe more if you calculate their humps into the equation - and heavy. They aren't exactly easy to take down either, what with all of the redundant organs they have and their race in general are built like tanks. If you see one charging you, you either get out of the way or hope you have enough armor piercing rounds to take it down before it reaches you.

Maybe you should be happy for the quiet, unless you revel in that sort of thing.
[He's so friendly.]
Sounds like a pain to deal with. Both as an ally or a foe.
Haven't seen anything like that here. Nothing that isn't a snarling, mindless monster on the other side of the wall.
I'll keep both eyes out.

How do they accommodate "special diets," exactly?
text
I was thinking more gluten-free or other human diets. But they still likely can accommodate you with things from the grocery stores.

Thanks, but as far as housing goes, I think we have that issue resolved.
[It's going to be the blind leading the blind on that, but it's not like Garrus will realize this until later.]
As for what I can eat? I can eat anything as long as it's dextro and not levo. I'm starting to think that it might be my universe that is the odd one out on that.
video
Sorry, I've never heard food described that way. But I'm sure there's a way to find what you need. Can you give me an example?

What do you eat? Beings from other dimensions?
[He has a roommate who eats some pretty weird stuff, so he's not discounting anything he hears.]
voice | un: vakarian
[Only wait. Someone might take that seriously.]
Uh... Honestly, it's not exactly a what. I don't have food allergies, but I'm unable to eat what humans can. Basically.
