[Which is a nickname he'd be way too embarrassed to bestow upon a human being, but he calls his fake spirit cat (??) "Nyanko-sensei", so it's easier to discard shame in a case like that—no human face to match it with.

Just as it's easier to discard shame over the Internet. This may be a hard lesson for Natsume to learn, even if "Professor Fisher" is intended mostly as a wry joke. God willing he won't ever gain anonymous capabilities... That much power is too......]
