1. does VR exist in your world
2. do you have any experience with programming
3. what's the height of technology available in your world
4. are you interested in video games
5. are you interested in contests of skill as opposed to brute strength
[No hello how are you my name is--none of that. Just a list of five questions--so are you going to answer, or not?]
Text; @fraulein.zweihander
Hello there. I must have missed it when you first introduced yourself. I am Sieglinde of Catarina, what's your name?
As for your questions:
1. I'm not certain what VR stands for.
2. I dont quite know what programming is either, so probably not.
3. Elaborately engineered booby traps.
4. I've seen them in store fronts, but I've never been compelled to actually try such things.
5. Yes.
no subject
I didn't introduce myself.
You didn't miss anything at all.
It's Noiz.
[Starting off on a friendly foot already.]
.....
Your answers are a bit...
....
VR is Virtual Reality.
Booby traps....
What kind of a world do you live in...
no subject
I'm not entirely sure what virtual reality would be, but I don't think we have it where I come from.
[The question of what kind of world she lives in is... an important one, but a difficult one to answer.]
My world is very different than this one.

2. Does being friends with a program count?
3. TRON
4. Yes!
5. Depends on the contest, I guess
no subject
'Friends' with a program? Do you mean AI?
And VR stands for Virtual Reality.
no subject
Oh! Gotcha! I've heard of that before.

2. some. depends what you need programmed. [ He's being modest, here. ]
3. that really depends on what your priorities are, don't you think?
we've got nanobots, very rudimentary within-solar-system space travel, holograms, no teleportation, no time travel without superpowers, 3-D printing with limitations, animal cloning with limitations. care to be a little more specific?
4. hell yeah.
5. brute strength is boring; skill all the way baby.
no subject
Someone from a world that has technology he can understand (holograms and 3D printing--) so he's not as lazy with his reply to this one as he might be to some of the others who replied to his post.]
I'm looking to create a VR-based mass-multiplayer combat simulator.
We had a very popular system of operations back home that I was interested in, and coming here to find it doesn't exist is very disappointing.
If you have experience and interest in this sort of thing, my 'need' here is to find other people who are interested in undertaking this project with me.
You answered very positively. So if you're interested in this sort of thing, I'd ask for your aid.
Normally, I'd do it myself, but I've found I'm going to have to start from scratch, due to the differences in tech between here and my home world.
no subject
what kind of combat simulator? are we talking something fun where you choose avatars and get silly weapons and it's all for fun, or something realistic aka horrifying and probably used to train soldiers or whatever
i'm sympathetic, my guy, but i'm not gonna lie to you, my job here keeps me pretty damn busy.
and besides programming isn't really my forte.
but if you need some help with the hardware, mechanical engineering is my thing and i can definitely spare an evening or two helping you get servers and cooling systems and whatever set up.

2. Yes.
3. Likely classified technology.
4. No.
5. Whatever is most efficient for the situation.

You've got no interest in videogames at all?
That's disappointing.

voice, @konyx
It depends on who's asking, I'd say.
>voice
Well. He's certainly not opposed to being childish in response to this.
So while the voice that comes over Khisanth's speakers isn't anything like Noiz' own: It's high pitched and loud, a bit mechanical and... entirely mocking.]
Scary, scary!
You're so suspicious, over a few simple questions!
Did we scare you?

1. what does VR stand for?
2. Nah
3.
The Niffs grow soldiers in test tubesSmartphones are pretty awesome, ngl4. Who isn't?
5. Sounds like fun
no subject
VR stands for virtual reality.
If you like videogames and tests of skill, but are useless in terms of programming, then I can still find some use for you.
I will need testers.

gladio doing a terrible job explaining the game because he's not a nerd
gladio there's help for you yet probably... somewhere, somehow...
text ; @altin
2. No.
3. It likely is related to medical technology.
4. Never had time.
5. Yes.
no subject
Too busy doing other things to play a game?
How would you feel testing a virtual game when I'm ready for testing, then?
Having a few samples of people completely new to the experience would be good information.

3. i dunno. maybe certain kitchen equipment.
4. no
5. yep
no subject
...What kind of kitchen equipment.
'VR' is 'Virtual Reality'.
I'm going to be working on creating a videogame that can be played anywhere within the walls of the city. It is less a game you play on a screen and one that you play with your mind.
Still interested?

4. sure
5. are you offering?
no subject
Explain to me what 'red rooms' are. I can make an educated guess, but a description would be easier.
And I'm offering in terms of creating a VR game in this place. One that can be played anywhere, anytime.
I'll need testers to assure it runs smoothly, and then I'll expect people to play it regularly once it's available.

1. Sure it does.
2. I know enough to get around.
3. That depends. Are we talking tech you can understand or tech you can use, but don't entirely understand?
4. Never really have the time.
5. Always.
no subject
'Never really have the time'. Will that change, now that your settings have changed?
I am talking tech I can understand and use in order to create a VR-based game that will test both skill and fighting ability in a non-physical setting.
