[Since the last network post went so well, Christian has decided to go to the next step. He might as well see just how far he can push things, right? Sure.]

Hey, guys.

[He even waves awkwardly with the device set up so he can use his hands.]

So, just a few things. First, what's the best way to go about inviting people to a company picnic? I've never really done anything... remotely company related, so any advice is welcome. And on that note, I don't know how many of you are familiar with the Gramarye Magic Research, uh, people, but I thought it might be helpful for all of us to say hello. To each other and everyone else, since researchers tend to close themselves into rooms and never get any good action, right?

Maybe we should try to make friends. Branch out some.

[Or he can sound ridiculous. That's always been a staple of his life anyway.]

How about one last one for the whole class: Have you ever seen a demon?

[ Just how many people were there now? At least the annoying princess has left, but it bothers Loki to have the ranks swell up so quickly. Though no one has interfered with his work, thankfully. ]

[ The smile from the video is a little shy, but probably not very sincere, and considering the god he's facing, that is easy enough to pick up. He almost seems amused as he responds.]

[ And that's suspicious, but Loki is also naturally suspicious of everything. ]

I mean, it's a fair question in this place. I'm just asking for reference.

[ Loki is certainly not going for any picnic. ]

[Speaking of demons, why does this guy have to talk like one? Or one of the too-serious Psychics he knows. Nothing is fun with them.]

Since I am not much of people, I'll leave you and the rest to it.

[ It's not a wise decision and he knows it, but Loki chafes at the idea of a get together. He could blend in if he chooses, but the effort and the frustration involved doesn't make the effort worthwhile. He enjoys his work, but he would enjoy it more in peace. ]

[ Not people? Well, that's the kind of answer he expects from most spirits, but he's trying not to jump to conclusions yet again. Still, he seems to at least be on the right track. ]

But it's a picnic. There will be food and entertainment. At least the entertainment of seeing everyone else there. That's not such a bad thing.

I've never gleaned much entertainment from . . . small talk and feasting.

[ He got enough of that from Asgard. A picnic doesn't sound like fun. ]

And I doubt my company would be welcome.

Yeah.

[ Christian's eyes flick from the device to the floor and back again. He's not much for parties either. It's hard to be the party guy when you're almost invisible half the time. But in Riverview things are different. ]

Well, picnics are calmer than feasts. You don't have to do as much small talk. And... I'm inviting you. So you're welcome.

[ Hmm. Loki doesn't know what to think but it's clear Christian is not from any universe familiar with Loki. So his reputation doesn't truly matter. But a part of him balks, regardless. ]

I will consider it.

[ He doesn't know enough of gods in the formal sense to assume Loki is one. As far as he knows, gods are just weird interpretations of powerful spirits and that is above his simple experience. Might as well just roll with anything. ]

Good. I mean, I need to get people to come if it's going to be a picnic. That's kind of the basic requirement.

How many have decided to come?

So far it's just you.

[ He's so good at this. Probably why he was asking in the first place. ]

[ Huh. ]

No doubt more will show interest soon enough.

[ There's a laugh in Christian's question, and under that, a nervous tremor of hope. ]

[ He makes a note of that. ]

I see no reason why not. Unless you do?

I dunno. I don't really... know anyone. People might not notice.

Not knowing anyone might be a blessing rather than a curse. Or so I've been told.

[ What had Thor said? It's a chance to start fresh? Loki cannot deny he's been taking advantage of that. ]

Maybe... But at some point I have to meet some people. It's even more lonely if I'm here and I never meet anyone.

[ And that's the selfishness talking, but Christian wants to be involved. Even if it's only a little bit. ]

Why not? It's hardly difficult to meet the people here.

[ In fact, this place encourages it. ]

I'm not really good at- [ People. ] That kind of thing.

[ What a strange thing for a human to utter. ]

And yet here you are.

[ Attempting, despite the setback. That could be considered admirable, not that Loki would say so. ]

Thankfully, the people here do not seem to care for arbitrary personal standards.

Here I am. It's better than not asking at all. I'd be too lonely if I did that.

[ Which is just the truth in a nutshell. Maybe he could fade away, but that would be a sad existence. He doesn't want to give up being human.

The second part gets a laugh. ]

Yeah. I'm hoping I can use that to my advantage. Maybe I can trick people into hanging out with me.

[ Loki's gaze flickers over him. He looks normal. ]

As far as tricks go, I doubt it'll be one people mind.
