[Eichi decides to make his first post in riverview a video message. He looks pale and a little nervous about something, but he speaks confidently. Some people might recognize him— his face has been appearing more and more in posters and advertisements in the city for performances.]

At first I thought I was hallucinating or something along those lines, because "magic" is something that doesn't exist in my universe except as science made to look like tricks. However... it seems I've gained some sort of ability.

It may be strange to ask, but has this happened to anyone else? I'm nothing like a "hero" out of a story book or anything like that, but I certainly healed a wound. [He glances down, flipping over his own arm and frowning in his focus.] Just now, I also cut the back of my arm to test it, since it was making me doubt myself, and I was able to heal that, as well.

[He's really not the type of person who should be harming himself in any way. But despite his paleness, he's conscious! Just... definitely exhausted in appearance.]

To be honest, I feel a little faint, now, but it may be due to my elevated heart rate after all of this. I'll look forward to any answers or advice I can receive.

I'm still not sure that I'd call it that, but it seems that I'm able to heal physical wounds.

[He places a hand over his chin, looking concerned and thoughtful.] I can't do anything about this illness of mine or the symptoms, but a cut is something I was able to heal just fine.

It sounds to me like magick of the Restorative discipline. If you'd like, I can attempt to discern the nature of your newfound ability. I must admit I am curious. I've never heard of anyone gaining such an ability who didn't already have the propensity for it.

[ But more importantly -- and don't think she hasn't noticed because it's dawned on her very quickly now that she's caught her figurative breath -- ]

A cut you inflicted on yourself and and none too great a favor by the looks of it! You don't look well, Eichi, and I could scarcely blame Gladio were you to wind up in that dreadful hospital place this time.

[I feel a little faint says the sick kid on the network after slicing his arm open. New healing power or not, that doesn't seem like the best way to test it. If she hadn't already known about his illness, it would have been easier for her to brush off his appearance and focus on the questions. Not that she has any good answer for those either.]

I'm just fine. To be honest, it would be difficult to sleep at a time like this, when I don't understand what's happening to me...

[It's concerning? Especially after all of those shenanigans where he thought he was still a second year in high school. He's looking even worse by the second, honestly. It's amazing how fast he can lose color.]

Things were quite chaotic while some of us were stuck in different points in time or versions of our universes. I said some rather unfortunate things that I can't take back, and now I have to follow up on certain things, as well...

[He's exhausting himself just thinking about all of this, and then he cut open his arm. But, it's actually the healing that wiped him out more.]

I don't really see how this story book-like ability I've gained will make me like it any more. I can't even heal this illness of mine, you know? [ If anything, it's more salt in the wound. Mm, but Tsumugi... He does have a lot that went wrong with him. ]

Do you have any accidental injuries yourself, Tsumugi? If I could be of help in that way, I could show you without harming myself again.

It doesn't matter! What if you had fainted and then no one was able to find you? It could've ended really badly. You should...care about yourself more, especially in this place where there's lots of unknown dangers!

Oh, no, I've just been able to do this as of today. I was merely wondering if this place could be the cause, but if you've had it since birth, then it seems I'm still the strange one in this situation.

I'm used to having to be cautious, and it's a little exhausting, to be honest. If I take every step so carefully, can I really say that I've walked, or was I only crawling forward and hoping not to fall? I don't want to live like that.

But I could have avoided this, you're right. It was a small cut, so I didn't think it would do much, but the act of healing itself seems to be tiring.

No matter how many wounds I might heal, it's a sort of "see it to believe it" type situation, right? I've seen it, but it still felt fake, so I had to correct that somehow. Unfortunately, it seems I'm still just as confused.
