I mean, back home, my parents were insisting I go to college, so... even if I'm not sure I want to bother, I figure I should keep the option open here too.

How do you even figure out if going is right for you? Especially if you have other stuff you really need to focus on too...

You invoke by relying too heavily on words, we'l rectify that. Hopefully without tearing a hole in spacetime.

Okay, that sounds like a good idea actually. It'd help a lot while I'm on guard duty... and I've been using my magic a lot. No overloading, no tearing apart reality, so that's probably a good sign, right?

You haven't been fighting much of anything during guard duty though, have you? Stress levels haven't been particularly high?

Well, there have been things that have flown over the gates or things that have tried getting through... It hasn't all been easy, but I guess it hasn't been on the same level as, say, Doctor Doom or Mother yet.

You mean the guy who's currently trying to play hero all around here?

He's the perfect man to test your abilities by pushing you harder, and now he's all Good Guy we can totally trust him. :)

[ Or Loki can use this as an opportunity to observe Victor's reactions by using Billy, a magical smorgasbord of power, as bait. ]

Also, I doubt Doom is looking for an apprentice.

I used to try and murder the Avengers for fun, now we all put in for Saturday night take-out. Maybe he really has changed too!

[ And maybe Victor will read this, so it has to sound like Loki is in his favour. ]

Are you really trying to get me to work with Doom himself? We haven't even spoken since he first came here...

[ It's better this way, he tells himself. Admitting his true intentions to Billy might make the guy too receptive to Doom and the opportunity they present to Victor can't seem fake or he may not get fully involved ... to whatever level he currently plays. ]

I'll figure it out, leave it to me. I have a lot on my plate right now but I'll get around to it.
