So, just out of curiosity... has anyone looked into taking classes around here? And if you have, what's it been like?
I mean, back home, my parents were insisting I go to college, so... even if I'm not sure I want to bother, I figure I should keep the option open here too.
[He hesitates a moment before adding:]
How do you even figure out if going is right for you? Especially if you have other stuff you really need to focus on too...

I mean, I'd totally be up for it. I feel like I actually did learn a lot from you...

Besides, I can handle you.

I like getting time to focus on magic though.
TEXT
If that which makes you happy is magick, why not pursue it? As long as you are alive, you might as well live and as fully, as happily as you can.
TEXT
I'm definitely trying to pursue magic more though. There's so much new stuff here to learn and I don't want to waste the chance.

[Because, you know, it might sound kind of crazy, but--]
Magic, mostly. Magic doesn't pay bills though, I guess.

You can make money off practically anything, if you know how to apply it properly.
But university's not just about that. You've got several worlds' worth of new magics, maths, technology, sciences, languages, easily accessible here. One should never simply be content with what they already know.
no subject
Okay, point. But I mean, it seems a little unethical, I guess... charging people for help instead of just doing it.
Which means I guess my life can't really revolve around magic entirely.
And also-- another good point, you're right. I mean, I've seen other worlds and dimensions before, but I've never really gotten to stay long term... not like this anyway. It was more of an in-passing thing. Seeing what they've got to teach that isn't like back home is kind of an exciting thought.
Have you checked it out or something? The universities here, I mean.
[Even if, you know, it's more school and he just kind of got out of it...]

The technology is more advanced, for example.
As for figuring out if you should go....that's hard all in itself. Do you have someone you can weigh the pros and cons with?

Mm, I have a couple people around, yeah. I think I know at least one is definitely for it though.

Maybe sign up for one or two? Test it out. It would still leave you with plenty of time to work or keep up with whatever else is going on in your life.
no subject
Yeah, you're right. I mean, it's an opportunity. Maybe I should take it while I've got it.

I think I'm more likely to die of some bizarre backfire using magic, honestly.

What do you want to study?
Text;
And I have no idea yet. My mom is a psychologist, my dad is a cardiologist... but I'm not sure about following either of those things. Do you have any idea what you'd like?
no subject
I was a literature student back home. I'd like to study something related to that.

Still, I guess it can never hurt to just look into something new...

It never does hurt to try new things.
