[The video turns on to a woman obviously still in a hospital bed if the sterile white scenery is to be believed. She's bandaged over one eye, forehead, and on her neck as far as the camera can see, and her hair is pulled back away from her face thanks to the medical supplies. She looks grumpy rather than relieved to be alive, however.]

I was promised a bar by... someone. The universe. The powers that be. If someone would be so kind as to point me in the direction of said bar, I'd be grateful.

[She fidgets with something off screen with frustration apparent for a moment before remembering the live feed.]

And if someone would like to break me out of this hospital, the first round is on me. I'm an a-class drinker, though, so don't think you're gonna win if you try to out-drink me. Of course, by all means try. Loser picks up the tab, and yes that's an open challenge.

Shepard out. [And the feed cuts as the woman goes back to trying to make the IV in her arm more bearable.]

[Someone looks a little rough around the edges. He's not entirely okay going onto video just yet. Garrus might be a little too visibly relieved, okay? Video would give that away, but not so much just his voice. At least no one but Shepard would really notice it and well...

Hopefully that someone will follow through on that promise when his commander is released from the hospital.

[After a pause, voice a little less shaky than before.]

I think the public should be aware of what they'd be getting themselves into if they took up that challenge. Death by alcohol poisoning doesn't sound like a good way to go.

[Of course. Of course he would be here. Of course he would be first. She was relieved, but also... not. Mostly amused.]

It hasn't killed me yet. I doubt it ever will, and if it does... Well, that'll be something, won't it?

[She can hear it in his voice, the slight breaks and shakes. But his voice is still the most amazing thing she's ever heard.]

So are you coming to get me or not?

Oh no. I was implying that the challenger would die. Not even the Reapers could keep you down, looks like.

[Right back at you, Shepard. Even so, Garrus is going to put his foot down on the whole rescue bit.]

You don't even have to ask if I'm coming, Shepard.

[But he's not saying he's coming to get her. More like stick around until they kick him out. If they can kick him out, that is.]

Apparently not.

[Oh. Oh no. He'd reverted. He was a good boy again. Shit. This needed to be fixed. ]

Okay, so what's the plan when you get here? Sweet-talk them into looking the other way while you wheel me out?

Why not try something new and different and actually let yourself heal for a change? I guarantee your bed at the moment is way better than the one I've been trying to sleep in.

I am very good at getting people out of places. Where you at?

[Yuffie is nineteen and while that's old enough to drink in Wutai and at Tifa's bar, a few people have been buttheads about it. She wants a drink and if breaking someone out of a hospital does it then she's game.

Plus, it'll be fun!]

[Age is a number, and anyone that has passed childhood is welcome to drink beside her in her opinion. This girl looks like a young woman to Shepard. She's fought alongside younger.]

Second floor of the hospital. The staff knows I'm antsy and they're watching me. I need a distraction so I can hobble my ass out of here.

[Yuffie's grin widens to dangerous proportions.]

So no going out the window? Got it. Give me your room number and I'll have you making your escape in fifteen minutes. I'll shot you a text when it's time to move.

[ he stays away from video as much as he can to avoid having to explain... well, himself. so all that comes through is a young, boyish voice. ]

[Chances are he's far from the strangest thing she's ever seen. But whatever made people comfortable.]

I got blown up by giant space squid back home and woke up here. Hopefully they got blown up in return... [Shepard actually hadn't thought about that yet, so... Yup, fingers crossed.] I've had worse. I'll just walk it off.

[ giant space squid sounds ridiculous, but also, he is a talking cat that can shapeshift into a van and he's been teleported into another dimension, so why the hell not...?! maybe?! ]

I... If you truly need to leave the hospital for important reasons, I wouldn't mind lending a hand.

(Lucretia knows a good handful of spells that would prove useful. But–) Surely it would be more sensible to have somebody bring the bar to you instead? Especially if you still require care.
