[ Though Marinette was more likely to respond to people speaking on the network, she's decided to use it herself this time around. The image would show her sitting on a chair at a desk, with a big grin on her face. ]

Hey! It's been a while since I last posted to the network here, but for those of you who don't know me, I'm Marinette, aand I've been here about..a month? Or so. Welcome to everyone who just arrived, belated though it is.

Actually I probably gave my welcomes out if I met you already so -- not that you can't have welcomes again or anything but -- [ Headscratch. ] I'm.. getting off topic. I've been pretty busy this weekend, making some baked deliveries - Link, thanks again for helping me with that.

Anyway, I bet you're wondering what's kept me so busy, so, look! [ She turns the view around to show off a set of dolls. ]

Aren't they cute? They're actually of some... er.. people back home, and since the dolls I made of them are still back home, I thought I'd remake them here. But it'd be kind of selfish to keep them all to myself, so ..

[ Here she turns the view around again, where she's now working on another doll ]

I thought I'd offer to make dolls for anyone interested, ..for a small fee of course, in addition to designing and making outfits. I'm not limited to making those dolls though. I can make dolls of other things too, if I have a good enough idea of what they look like. Just let me know if you're interested in dolls or clothing, or if you need someone to design other things.

[ Finishing up her post, Marinette set her unfinished doll down and sighed. She really missed little Tikki. Absently reaching up to touch her earrings, she smiled faintly, then pushed her chair back, flexing her arms and stretching. ]

"Okay Marinette, time for a break~!"

[ She turned and padded out of the room, glancing around to see if any roommates were about. Though she didn't stick around long, and wandered out onto the tenth floor, heading over to the elevator to go and explore. Though she did glance around to see if any other tenth floor flatmates were around - she never did meet the people in the other room on that floor. ]

[Right. Coffeemaker. Frankenstein is going to figure this out. Sure, he gets up in the middle of the afternoon--that's what happens when you work nights.

He's learned enough to put clothes on, though, at least (everyone on floor 10 can thank Hana for that one), but that doesn't mean he's, you know, awake in any real sense. Definitely not awake enough for THAT level of cheeriness.]

I'm not on any drugs. [ Drugs the obviously bad kind that is are for LOSERS. ]

I don't know what it's like where you're from, but just because someone's cheerful or in a good mood, it doesn't mean they're on drugs.

[ Actually if that's the case where he's from, she's pretty sure SHE'D die. ]

[ Hana was sitting at the entertainment area, positioned oddly on one of the cushion-y chairs there with her legs over one armrest and her head resting on the other. She was, yet again, absorbed with a game on her phone and when Marinette finished her post and began to wander about the floor, she might find Hana there, looking almost as though she may be in another world altogether. She wasn't quite used to her new living situation (and the entire situation of being in an entirely different dimension) yet, but hanging out in the common areas of the floor seemed preferable to the room she shared with five other people which... ugh. At least the other people on the floor seemed okay so far. ]

[ Marinette, on the other hand, adjusted to new situations fairly quickly. As much as she worried about her home, and wanted to return, she knew she had to be patient, for now. Keeping busy also helped matters, keeping her mind off of ..that. She had initially only given a brief glance to the shared living area as she made her way through, but seeing someone - an unfamiliar someone - sitting there took her by surprise. ]

Oh, hi there! I haven't seen you here before. I'm Marinette... You must be one of our neighbors.

Hmm?

[ Hana was a little surprised to hear a different sort of voice around the place, seeing as she'd only really talked to the guys around and one of them was an older guy who was for some reason walking around naked. Anyway, she hadn't met any of the other girls around, so when she turned to look at Marinette she seemed almost glad. Relieved, even, and she raised a hand to flash a peace sign at the other girl. ]

Hiya! Yup, I'm across the floor. And pretty new or whatever. I'm Hana!

[Link was pleasantly surprised to see Marinette's face appear on his Sheikah Slate.]

It was no problem!

[Link had seen the dolls she had shown. He had no use for them, but they were a testament to Marinette's skills.]

If you need someone to deliver any dolls, just let me know.

[He certainly wouldn't mind. Marinette seemed genuinely happy with the help, and Link didn't mind the extra money he was able to make from it.]

[He was planning on exploring outside the gate into the abandoned city, but he wasn't sure how she's take that kind of thing, so he stayed quiet about it.]

[ well, he's not exactly assigned to this floor, but he may as well be - not that most of them would know, considering how Morgana seems to mostly keep to himself. It's not that he's being anti-social - it's just that people tend to have a lot of questions for him, and he's started running out of patience for it quickly. Not to mention how they tend to treat him like a cat. Or a kid. He doesn't know what's worse.

Ironically, this has led to the catlike behavior of slinking around the place and trying to stay out of people's way. He's glad Yuuto is letting him stay with him. In his head, he tells himself it's for security reasons, but really, it just makes him feel a little less lonely. He's not expecting his friend to be here right now - actually, he's not really expecting anyone to be there right now, which is why he looks surprised as he steps out of the elevator and finds himself face-to-face with Marinette, practically bumping into her. ]

Oh -- uh, excuse me!

[ Morgana is also very .... small, so probably easy to trip over. Not that Marinette does that, but she does hop back in suprise, glancing down at .. him? Uh. What ... ]

[ it'll take more than bumping into girls to hurt him. Still, this puts him in a bit of an awkward situation, seeing as he doesn't actually... live here. ]

Although the outfits I mentioned aren't meant for the dolls - I design for more people-sized clothing. [ Though she could she supposed, make other dolls and make new outfits, sometime. ]

Oh actually, me too! I've been dying to make actual outfits for some time now ever since I got here -- I've also set up a handicrafts club with a member and I'm teaching her everything she needs to know... But we can collaborate if you want!

[He watches with what is mostly a professional interest. They are well done dolls but he only has appearance to go by. The talent is absolutely there though and the thought of Funtom comes to mind.

He could use talent like hers.

I would perhaps enlist you in both of these capacities. There is only so much available here as far as clothes are concerned that suits my particular tastes as Pharaoh.

As far as the dolls are concerned... I would not be opposed to a memento of my Nefertari, in order to give you work for which to practice your craft. It is one of my many duties to be a patron of the arts, after all.

Ahaha, yeah, the styles here are kind of .. limited. But I'd be happy to work something out - are you thinking of having the same style of clothing that you wear now duplicated so you have spares, or something else?

Hmm.. Nefertari.. I think I remember hearing a name like that in one of the history books I read - Ancient Egyptian history. But her name was Nefertiti - it could have been a mistranslation though. Or... well, do you have a picture of her anyway? I'd need some kind of reference...? I could TRY making a doll just from a description, too, but... [ He might not like it. She'd have to do a whole mess of research she'd bet. ]

No, you fool! Queen Nefertiti was the wife of Pharaoh Akhenaten, surely a fine woman in her own right, but none could hope to measure up to my Nefertari! She was as radiant as the goddess Hathor herself, my dearest and most beloved first wife. She was as beautiful, kind, and intelligent the day I met her as she was the day she left my side... The fact that she is not held up as the ultimate ideal of a perfect woman, mother, and queen is surely one of the greatest testaments to the fundamental flaws of mankind.

You make it sound like I was wielding a weapon of kindness! or something. Is it really that bad for you to get extra help? The repairs were done that much quicker after all.
