[ it's been a rough month for jessica — stuck in this hellhole with a bunch of morons and assholes. present company included.
it's almost midnight, and with her stomach full of hard liquor, she's in the perfect position to make a poor life choice. so she finds herself posting on the network. there's no username attached; she prefers anonymity for this topic. well, here goes nothing. ]

i've heard the same old crap about the portal. that it takes people who need a home.
but is there any way to predict when it happens, or who will show up? can it even pull in someone who's dead?

If you can figure out the mathematical algorithm of that portal I think, maybe, it simply brought you here for that kind of brain power.
So far as I'm able to tell, yes, it can bring those who were previous dead, or close to dead. With the fact that it can access different time lines, and all of that? I wouldn't doubt it could bring in someone you may have known prior to their death and they wouldn't be any the wiser.
So I suppose I'm left here hoping that some who are dead stay that way.

Well, at least I have the comfort of knowing I'm not alone.
Though it might be nice for a moment to get the last laugh.

[ at least, she's assuming so. if it's anything like her case. if kilgrave suddenly arrived, there wouldn't be much to laugh over, not for very long. ]

You or them?
On one hand, if mine shows up, there's another doctor in town. On the other.. it's Daedalus.

daedalus?
[ she needs context, lady. ]

Yes. He was my doctor in my world.
He's good at what he does but we didn't end on a good foot.
