[ Here's an unfamiliar face to probably many. A girl in a red and black spotted leotard with matching mask is grinning into the video. From her surroundings, it looks like she's somewhere outside the city. ]

Hey everyone, Ladybug here. Got a question for you. I was out patrolling the area outside the city and came across some nasty creatures chasing after - [ She turns the feed around to show an injured Korok, sitting a short distance away with a bandage she had tied around its leg. ]

One of these little guys. I personally haven't ever seen one before, but I thought it'd be a good idea to ask around in case someone else has come across the - [ She's distracted by a growl from out of view of the camera, and she scowls. ]

Persistent things aren't you.. [ Mutter. She pulls her yoyo out and turns to prepare to go on the defense, though she tosses one last comment. ]

Gotta run - but if anyone's seen these guys around or knows anything about them, drop a message here, I'll get right back to you!

[ OOC: unless someone happens to be outside the perimeter as well and comes across them, that's a thing also. ]

[ Paralytic venom. Sheesh, how many monsters around here spit?

Nonetheless, Yuuto drops from the low ledge and hits the ground in one smooth motion, drawing out a long dagger from underneath his black coat. With practiced ease he twirls the weapon around red gloved fingers as he approaches Ladybug's side, in part because he is a bit of a showoff... ]

Thanks for the heads up. [ Here, he grips the hilt of the blade proper, staring down one of the creatures with fire in its eyes and bared teeth. ] How durable are they?

[ They're all rude, They all spit.

Ohboy, how did she get lucky enough to encounter ANOTHER show-offy masked person? ... it kind of made her miss Chat. Now THAT was a weird thought. ]

One or two hits can take them out, but they're quick and annoyingly dodgy. [ Ladybug answered, glancing back to one and snapping her wrist forward, the shield revealed to just be a yoyo, which swung forward to coil around the raptor's neck, only for it to quickly dodge to the size and snarl. ]

See what I mean?

Yeah.

[ So the trick wasn't to strike first. He doesn't particularly care about killing them—they're basically wild animals, not intelligent beings—so if there was a way to ward them off, at the very least...

Yuuto breaks off from Ladybug's side, eyes focused on the raptor-like creatures before them, careful and guarded; for all the growling they seem to be doing, however, they don't appear super eager to go in wildly attacking. If nothing else, they have a basic sense of strategy. ]

Here's to hoping they don't have any understanding of the spoken word— [ Briefly, he flicks his eyes over toward her. ] But I'll grab their attention. Go smack 'em around when they're not looking at you.

[ They'll be harder to hit so long as they see it coming, after all. ]

[ She'd like to scare them off herself - killing was definitely not her style. But as long as the little Koruk couldn't move, they weren't willing to back off yet - and since before it was just Ladybug versus three of them, they had felt confident they could get around her. Now that there were two, on the other hand, .. not so much.

Ladybug glances at Yuuto when he moved away, nodding firmly to the plan. It was a solid plan - and funny enough, was usually the tactics she employed when she worked with Cat Noir. ]

All right, go for it. Stay sharp.

[ That said, she started spinning her yoyo string again, readying herself for an attack once Yuuto's gotten their attention. ]

[ Sharp he certainly is—but also kind of reckless.

Evidenced by him closing the distance between himself and the monsters, Yuuto whistles at them, as if calling for a dog. ]

Alright, all eyes on me, fellas. That means you, too—!

[ As the third of the bunch still kept some of its focus on Ladybug, Yuuto swings a kick towards its head; as expected, it didn't land, but if the way one of the others hisses and snaps back with its maw, it manages to aggravate the group. Luckily, he's likewise quick enough to roll out of the way, flipping himself back up into a crouch in another swift motion. From here, he begins poking the hornet's nest, so to speak, harassing the creatures enough to anger and dodge when they snap back. If nothing else, it definitely keeps them from minding the presence of anyone else.

Though, he's also hoping Ladybug will make it quick. If she manages to knock one away, with them caught off guard, hopefully he can hit another right after. ]

[ She knows reckless. She can be reckless herself. Hell, her own partner back home tended to be a little reckless. She doesn't tarry, fortunately, as the minute the third raptorlike creature turned away from her, she took advantage of the distraction, hooking her yoyo around the neck of the creature and yanking it backwards hard enough that it went flying onto a tree and hit the ground, stumbling to its feet only to run off in the opposite direction. The other two raptors were still being kept busy by Yuuto, but now they were moving to try to get him between the two of them - he can't watch them both at the same time! ]

[ Luckily, he's used to fighting against multiple enemies at a time; on the other hand, it is trickier without Oracle's watchful eye as the team navigator. At the very least, though, he isn't alone.

And he's between the two, all right, but he isn't worried. If anything, he allows them to believe they've got him cornered, until they lunge again. That's when Yuuto flips back in another show of style and grace, sailing over one of the monsters, and before he lands swings yet another kick at its head. This time, it connects, hitting a blow that sends the creature flying sideways. Disoriented, it hits the ground, and in a panic likewise flees.

Yuuto's face splits into a cocky grin. ]

One more!

[ Ladybug on the other hand, was more accustomed to one-on-one fights. ]

Not for long~!

[ With this guy's cockiness though she couldn't help but be reminded of Cat Noir. Why is it she always got paired with cocky people in fights? Ah well. They balanced her out since she was more serious in battle. Still, now the raptor was the one outnumbered, and it was already backing away, growling warily - and then desperately lunged forward at Yuuto. Ladybug was familiar with that gesture though, so she ducked in its path, an arm out to spin her shield in and ward that venomous spit from Yuuto. Take 'it down yo~! ]

[ Will do!

He ducks around the shield, striking at the raptor-like monster with his dagger—there wasn't any intention of actually landing a slash against it, but he's convincing enough in his movements that it lets out an alarmed chirp. In the end, it's more than enough to chase it away, considering the huge disadvantage it was suddenly in.

Yuuto watches it disappear into the foliage, cautious and on guard as he gives the area one last cursory glance, just in case. When the coast seems clear enough, he turns back toward Ladybug—and the thing she was trying to protect during all this. ]

Looks like we're good for now.

[ Nicely done~. Ladybug relaxed once the rest of the critters had scampered off to lick their wounds, letting a small sigh escape. ]

Perfect. Good job.

[ She glanced behind her at the Koruk currently hiding under a rock. ]

You can come on out now little guy. It's safe.

[ Glancing back to Yuuto, she grinned. ]

No idea what he is, but thanks for the help.

It was nothin'. You're not too bad, yourself.

[ Her weapon was an... odd one, that's for sure, yet effective. That aside, he flicks a glance over toward the Koruk, subtle curiosity settling in his expression behind the mask. ]

—Is it okay?

[ Of course she wasn't. She was a pro~! ...well okay she wasn't that egotistical, but she was confident in her ability. ]

Thanks for that. And yea, I think so~.

[ She tucked her yoyo back into its pouch, looking down to the Koruk as it wobbled out, waving a little hand happily and hopping up an down. It was saaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaved~! ]

Heehee, I think that's his way of saying thanks too.
