[ someone's currently sitting atop the residential housing building, on the roof, tapping his sword against the side. it makes a clunk-clunk noise as a small, skeletal mouse with fairy wings burrows its way into his shaggy hair.

nico looks a bit worse for wear. the constant dark circles under his eyes are worse than before and he looks like he hasn't slept in days... ]

So now that the god issue has been taken care of, I got a question. Mostly for magic users. How many of us are there? And is there anyone who can get access to Nectar or Ambrosia, or who could make some? It's kinda important.

[ clunk-clunk, he taps his sword again and then sets it aside to continue talking. as he does, his hands move and gesture, as one would expect from an italian. ]

Anyway, that's not the main reason behind this post. I noticed more new people showing up again. Makes me wonder what kind of myths exists in other people's world.

In mine, the myths are actually real, but most mortals aren't aware of that fact. Is there anything similar in other places?

Do you require this divine sustenance to heal or would any sort of magic do?

[He's not one to forget the original point, even when intellectual conversations were afoot, but he does so love to learn.

He's quiet for a moment, obviously mulling over the implications of what Nico has just told him.
] Just a moment. [He raises a hand.] Fade, you say? [He's quiet a moment longer, looking away from his device and contemplative before a light seems to come over his features as he smiles.] Ah ha! So, you are claiming that gods in your world depend on mortal thought to thrive? That...our mere knowledge of your father, for instance, sustains his being. These...gods who have been forgotten, have they died then?

Fascinating! I...ah. [He clears his throat.] My deepest apologies. They are, after all, a sort of...extended family of yours. Forgive my lack of concern. I'd be very interested in learning more, though, if, of course, you'd care to share.

[And it's at that point Dorian realizes exactly how rude he's been.] ...I, by the way, am Dorian of House Pavus. Newly arrived, yes, but I've also accepted a position at the research institute. I am not particularly skilled in the healing arts, but I'm sure someone is. I'll have a look around and see what I find.

[And then he looks both delighted and interested.]

...you see? There it is. I was under the impression unicorns were myths. I stand, humbly, corrected.

Hades...cabin? [Ah, but wait.] Oh, you mistake me. Pavus is my family name, as "di Angelo" is yours, I would assume. Hades is...your father, I assume?

[His eyes light up at that.] Oh, good. I'd hate to think I was work for bores.

[He pauses for a moment, trying to make sense of what he'd said before coming up with nothing and deciding to ask.] ...Camp Jupiter?

It isn't. You've spoken plainly. Even more so, if you are not the only son of Hades but are the only son of your mother. You have stated you are a son of the god Hades, and specifically, the one born of this di Angelo woman, you see? Genealogically speaking, it makes perfect sense.

...No, you see. That is confusing. If they are the same pantheon, why bother with different names if the lot of you share the same blood?

The Underworld? Is that something like the Deep Roads of my own world, or something rather less mundane than endless caverns beneath the earth? It would serve to reason, considering much wealth comes from beneath the ground, wouldn't it?

[There's a momentary pause as Dorian strokes his chin thoughtfully.]

Rather morose, isn't it? Shouldn't death be a release, not a place to be further ruled?
