[ someone's currently sitting atop the residential housing building, on the roof, tapping his sword against the side. it makes a clunk-clunk noise as a small, skeletal mouse with fairy wings burrows its way into his shaggy hair.

nico looks a bit worse for wear. the constant dark circles under his eyes are worse than before and he looks like he hasn't slept in days... ]

So now that the god issue has been taken care of, I got a question. Mostly for magic users. How many of us are there? And is there anyone who can get access to Nectar or Ambrosia, or who could make some? It's kinda important.

[ clunk-clunk, he taps his sword again and then sets it aside to continue talking. as he does, his hands move and gesture, as one would expect from an italian. ]

Anyway, that's not the main reason behind this post. I noticed more new people showing up again. Makes me wonder what kind of myths exists in other people's world.

In mine, the myths are actually real, but most mortals aren't aware of that fact. Is there anything similar in other places?

[Marco's brow raises at this particular post, and he's hitting 'reply' before he even really gives it much thought, especially when he notices it's that boy from the fireworks.]

Magic? Seriously? I mean, I've always thought magic was just really advanced tech.

[A pause, as he rubs at his chin, thoughtfully.]

You got aliens on your world?

[ oh, it's the cute guy from the fireworks... ]

I know it sounds strange to some people, but it does exist, at least where I'm from. But no, no aliens.

I mean, I've seen a lot of insane things in my time, like, seriously insane, but it's always been aliens or robots or extradimensional beings or whatever, not actual magic.

[A beat, and he smiles a bit wider.]

Sounds like where you come from is the opposite. Not sure which one of us is better off. So, what's ambrosia, besides a really yummy salad?

[deathkid]

It's a salad?

[ no, wait. he shakes his head because that's not important. ]

It's food of the gods. It helps people like me heal and restore energy if we eat tiny bits of it. Basically, I kinda went on overdrive with my powers recently and need a little pick-me-up.

[brightline]

I mean, you can call it that, but there is not one single vegetable in it, so.

[He shrugs, smirking a bit, at least till he hears that last part.]

Whoa, wait. You have powers? Are they the kind you talk about?

[Leaning in, he raises his eyebrows, still grinning.]

Want to talk about them over a bowl of ambrosia salad?

[Smooth segue there, right?]

[ talking about powers over food. sounds like something he'd be down for. giving a nod, he shrugs. ]

There's not much to talk about but sure.

You know, I sorta doubt that.

Meet you in the Communal Building lobby in 10 minutes?

[deathkid]

Sure thing. I'll be there.

[ and he is, in less than ten minutes, stepping into a shadow on the roof and reappearing in the lobby. if marco's already there, hopefully he doesn't startle him. ]
