[ someone's currently sitting atop the residential housing building, on the roof, tapping his sword against the side. it makes a clunk-clunk noise as a small, skeletal mouse with fairy wings burrows its way into his shaggy hair.

nico looks a bit worse for wear. the constant dark circles under his eyes are worse than before and he looks like he hasn't slept in days... ]

So now that the god issue has been taken care of, I got a question. Mostly for magic users. How many of us are there? And is there anyone who can get access to Nectar or Ambrosia, or who could make some? It's kinda important.

[ clunk-clunk, he taps his sword again and then sets it aside to continue talking. as he does, his hands move and gesture, as one would expect from an italian. ]

Anyway, that's not the main reason behind this post. I noticed more new people showing up again. Makes me wonder what kind of myths exists in other people's world.

In mine, the myths are actually real, but most mortals aren't aware of that fact. Is there anything similar in other places?

It helps me heal and regain energy. I'm a half-blood. A demigod. My father is Hades and my mother was mortal. So when I overuse my powers, the best thing for me is Nectar and Ambrosia.

[ a shrug. ]

Your world sounds like a book, really. There are vampires and werewolves in my world, but they're a lot different from what you might read in books. What's a Forsaken?

What kinds of powers do you have? [His tone definitely sounds more interested now that this person has said he's a demigod.]

Your world sounds like a book too, if you have gods there. Are there other Greek gods too...?

My family and others like us... We have angel blood and we use things called runes to enhance the things we can do. A Forsaken is what happens when you put runes on a regular human. They go crazy and mindless.

A lot, really. They can be hard to explain.

And yeah, there are actually tons. There are thirteen main gods and tons of minor ones.

[ a pause and he blinks. the forsaken thing sounds terrible. ]

I didn't know angels existed.

[greatflame]

I've read books about them. Are they really different from how they are in stories...?

Angels don't really interact with us much but they're there in my world.

Well, Zeus is a bit of a jerk, but Poseidon's pretty cool. He's my friend's dad. My father isn't as scary as people make him to be, though he can get grumpy, especially during the spring and summer when my step-mom is visiting her mother, Demeter.

[greatflame]

Yeah, Zeus never sounded like a very nice person in the stories either... or Hera. Is she mean too? It stinks that Zeus isn't faithful to her but she doesn't have to go around cursing everybody for it. It's not their fault Zeus chased after them.

Hera's well... yeah, she's not the greatest. I don't think she likes me much at all. But I agree with you. They're both kinda terrible.

What do they all look like? Do they look just like humans or are they different?

[deathkid]

They can take human form, if that's what you mean. Mortals, even demigods, can't look at them in their true godly form, though. They'll burn to ash.

[greatflame]

Because they don't like people looking at them in their true form...?

Nah. Because they're so powerful.

[greatflame]

... Oh. I wonder what happens if you look at an angel... I've never seen one before.

[deathkid]

You've never seen one but you have angel blood? How does that work?

[greatflame]

We all have the angel Raziel's blood in us. Shadowhunters are made by drinking out of the Mortal Cup or being a descendant of someone who did, like my family. The first Shadowhunter was named Jonathan and he lived back during the Crusades. He asked the angel Raziel for the power to fight demons who were invading.

[deathkid]

Jeeze, sounds complicated. Are all shadowhunters people who fight demons? Do you? I mean, no offense, but you seem kind of young.

[greatflame]

[He might be pouting just a little bit at Nico pointing that out. Just a bit.] I will. My parents just haven't allowed me to start training yet but I want to. I'm almost ten and you can start around that age. My brothers, sister, and parents all fight demons.

[deathkid]

Trust me when I say it's okay to not grow up so fast. You should enjoy being a kid as long as possible.

[ because he was about ten when bianca died and his whole world changed. he wouldn't wish that on some other kid. ]

[greatflame]

My whole family goes out and fights while I have to stay at home. I want to be out there helping them. [He definitely knows it's a serious thing being a Shadowhunter though. He's known of plenty of people who didn't come back alive from a battle and there's always that undercurrent of fear it might happen to one of his family members, no matter how much they are bad ass fighters.]

I don't blame you, but at your age, you should take advantage of being young. I had to grow up too fast and sometimes I regret it.
