[ The video feed opens with one Hana Song looking absolutely pleased with herself and decked-out in her signature plugsuit. With an undeniable, confident smirk on her face, she declares: ]

First of all, shout-out to the guy from the Perimeter Guard who personally delivered the best present a girl could ever ask for—

[ Hana stretches her arm out, offering the feed an extended view of what's behind her: a large pink mech, whirring and glowing with lights. Its apparently pilot beams at the camera and flashes a victory sign at the corner of the screen. ]

Ta-dah! Riverview Quarantine, let me introduce you to my state-of-the-art armored battle suit, a.k.a. a mech unit for the Mobile Exo-Force of the Korean Army, a.k.a. my MEKA unit! Someone out there must really like me, huh? You guys are not prepared for what you're gonna get to see coming up.

[ The screen then flips back to Hana, looking very contemplative. ]

But I'm in a bit of a pinch here. None of my engineers are around, obviously, and I know some basics, but this baby's going to need a lot of maintenance. [ it is high-maintenance like its pilot ] I know there's a lot of new people coming in, and there's still a lot of you guys who've been here a while. Any chance any of you are mechanical geniuses who wanna help out? I'm looking only for the best of the best! Come down to the garage of communal housing if you wanna marvel at this beauty!

[ Does she mean herself? Or the mech? It is a mystery! ]

Oh, and one last thing? [ She seems to move for a little bit and then pans the camera so that a sign that reads: "MECH PARKING ONLY" is visible over her shoulder. ] This parking spot? Mine. If anyone parks in my spot my mech and I are stepping on your vehicle. That's all! Love, D.Va!

[ She'd taken to resting her chin on her hand as she listened to him with undisguised interest, trying to imagine what it would feel like if her MEKA was like that. In the end, she had an impressed smile on her face. ]

Wow, you're making it sound pretty romantic, you know?

[Keith blinked, looking slightly startled for a second, and then shook his head, trying really hard not to look embarrassed.]

I don't know about romantic, but it's different. You know... better. Than just a regular ship. Or something.

[ Hana was trying very, very hard not to laugh, meanwhile. She's pretty sure teasing Keith was going to be a favorite pastime of hers. ]

Oh, okay. Sure. It's just different, but better, not like your heart soars when you fly together or anything.

[tempredmental]

Eehhh... [It kind of did?] I mean, I don't know if I would say that exactly... [Even if it was kind of almost the exact feeling once a bond hit a certain level. He just wasn't into that kind of wording.] It's just... way better than some regular shuttle or something like we had at the Garrison. [Yeah... way better...]

Guess I've never really piloted anything other than my mech, so I wouldn't know.

[ Note to self: talk to the people at the Guard about maybe piloting other things from time to time, too. She is technically their Special Vehicle Operator, so... ]

I guess I get what you're saying. I mean, your lions are sentient, so that's gotta count for something.

You should try different things if you get the chance. It helps to get a feel for different styles and handling.

[ For some reason, hearing that guidance from Keith was annoying. It was probably true that he was a better pilot than she was on account of his advantage in experience, but her competitive spirit didn't want to admit that. ]

Think they said they'd let me operate an actual tank at some point. Now that would be different.

[Keith quirked an eyebrow at her reaction, but didn't push. He hadn't really meant anything by it, but... whatever. And, when she continued on into the tank comment, he brushed it off.]

Yeah. Definitely. I wouldn't mind trying something that different, either.

I've got this hover speeder back home that you'd probably like, too, if you like fast stuff. It's designed for racing.
