[ Two very green eyes (wide, without their usual cunning gleam) stare into the camera when the recording goes live, glancing up to the username that appears. Reading it, he mutters 'Loki of Asgard' and frowns, glancing around himself as though somebody else may spring up and claim the phone. When they don't, Loki runs an anxious hand through his hair and lets out a controlled sigh at length, standing awkwardly in his tee and jeans in the Floor Five lounge. ]

This phone I woke up with in my pocket is locked and it won't let me do more than make an emergency call. I know I'm on a moon for some reason, what the fuck, so if this is the local nine-one-one line I'd like some assistance, please.

[ 'Calm under strain' would be an apt description. ]

Such as, ah ... What's Asgard? And, how did I just freeze my bed solid? Because I totally did. [ In a panic when he woke up bewildered, oops. ] I — I'm not sure what to do.





( ooc: forward-dating this to tomorrow bc i work full-time and won't be around; loki is suffering a near-complete memory loss for the event. he doesn't remember who he is, his fam & friends, that he is magic as heck, how to use said magic, or his extensive horrid history. all he knows is that he agreed to come to a moon and once had an apartment in manhattan. )

[ Jim looks somewhere between confused, suspicious and worried. This doesn't seem like something Loki would pull, but the god is also prone to all kinds of weird pranks, so... ]

Is this one of your funny pranks? Gotta tell you, not your best.

[ Glancing aside, he looks back with a flat 'I got nothing' expression. ]

Have I pulled many pranks?

Yes? [ Okay, he's frowning at the camera now. ] You're not called the God of Mischief for nothing, you know.

... Is that a metaphor or a really cool nickname?

[ Vaguely hoping it's the latter tbh. ]

[ Alright, this is weird as hell but sitting around talking isn't gonna help. ]

Where are you? I'll come meet you and try to help make some sense of it.

I'm in a house — er, an apartment.

[ He heads over to a floor-length window and turns the camera to show where he is, compartmentalising for the time being because he's fairly sure he's not a god of anything. He's from New York, that's his only constant. ]

I don't know the address, there are a lot of beds that look used in the room where I woke up. Who are you, Kirk?

[Ivar just found the frozen solid bed. That complied with Loki's message alarms him greatly. He remembers his good well enough, even if he can't remember his name.

Ivar rolls over to the godling, curiously without weapons for once. He speaks with the familiarity of a friend.]

I'd ask if you were alright, but this is about as far from alright as it gets.

[ Turning around at the sound of Ivar's chair approaching, he arches a brow. The young man's face isn't familiar. ]

I'm feeling that right now. Who are you?

My name is Ivar. I'm a friend.

[He figures it's best to start off slow before dropping the 'You're a god' bombshell.]

Asgard is the realm where you're from.

Oh. I'm definitely Loki, then.

[ Whoever that is. He's not sure who he's meant to be, so instead he fiddles with the phone in his hand and asks with a shrug that aims for a light tone, ]

Is it nice there?

[ Since apparently it's important enough to have as part of a username. ]

[ Normally, Stephen would roll his eyes at Loki making such a post. Like lol yeah good one now stop. He did, at first. But then he finishes it and it seems... a bit too genuine.

Still, his face is a mixture of concern, confused, and wary. ]

[ Not that he enjoys using his tech skills to track down people, since that's borderline stalking, but he has a feeling Loki will forgive him for it. Or would, were he in his right mind. Either way, he might not even have to. From the feed alone and Loki's description, he can already hazard a guess that he's in one of the communal floors. ]

Jim. That's what you usually call me. I'm a friend of yours.

[ Not that he isn't grateful, this is just. So tiring. ]
