[ Two very green eyes (wide, without their usual cunning gleam) stare into the camera when the recording goes live, glancing up to the username that appears. Reading it, he mutters 'Loki of Asgard' and frowns, glancing around himself as though somebody else may spring up and claim the phone. When they don't, Loki runs an anxious hand through his hair and lets out a controlled sigh at length, standing awkwardly in his tee and jeans in the Floor Five lounge. ]

This phone I woke up with in my pocket is locked and it won't let me do more than make an emergency call. I know I'm on a moon for some reason, what the fuck, so if this is the local nine-one-one line I'd like some assistance, please.

[ 'Calm under strain' would be an apt description. ]

Such as, ah ... What's Asgard? And, how did I just freeze my bed solid? Because I totally did. [ In a panic when he woke up bewildered, oops. ] I — I'm not sure what to do.





( ooc: forward-dating this to tomorrow bc i work full-time and won't be around; loki is suffering a near-complete memory loss for the event. he doesn't remember who he is, his fam & friends, that he is magic as heck, how to use said magic, or his extensive horrid history. all he knows is that he agreed to come to a moon and once had an apartment in manhattan. )

[ Jim looks somewhere between confused, suspicious and worried. This doesn't seem like something Loki would pull, but the god is also prone to all kinds of weird pranks, so... ]

Is this one of your funny pranks? Gotta tell you, not your best.

[ Glancing aside, he looks back with a flat 'I got nothing' expression. ]

Have I pulled many pranks?

Yes? [ Okay, he's frowning at the camera now. ] You're not called the God of Mischief for nothing, you know.

[Ivar just found the frozen solid bed. That complied with Loki's message alarms him greatly. He remembers his good well enough, even if he can't remember his name.

Ivar rolls over to the godling, curiously without weapons for once. He speaks with the familiarity of a friend.]

I'd ask if you were alright, but this is about as far from alright as it gets.

[ Turning around at the sound of Ivar's chair approaching, he arches a brow. The young man's face isn't familiar. ]

I'm feeling that right now. Who are you?

[ragnarsson]

My name is Ivar. I'm a friend.

[He figures it's best to start off slow before dropping the 'You're a god' bombshell.]

Asgard is the realm where you're from.

You can freeze your bed? Wow! Do you have a freeze ray or something? All "Bzzzt, you're iced!" Can you make snow too? What if you made a really big snowman? I bet you could. Wow, this is so awesome!

[ Normally, Stephen would roll his eyes at Loki making such a post. Like lol yeah good one now stop. He did, at first. But then he finishes it and it seems... a bit too genuine.

Still, his face is a mixture of concern, confused, and wary. ]

Loki, is this some sort of prank? If it is, you can stop now.

[ A huff of his temper rises. ]

I'm not joking, I asked for help. Is everyone here simple?

[ bright blue eyes, messy hair and a face full of stubble is the look that greets the screen. The face smiling more than smirking. ]

Asgard is the home of the Norse gods.

But, most importantly, take a few deep breaths, it's going to be okay! I promise.

[ Not that he isn't grateful, this is just. So tiring. ]

[ Loki goes pale immediately. ]

Do not do anything. I am on my way.

[ And he arrives promptly, rapping his knuckles on the door. He could try breaking into the wards, but Loki didn't know how his other self would react to the backlash of magic, so he waits outside impatiently. ]

[ ... What an ominous message. Before he can even reply (which says something) there comes a knock at the front door of the apartment and he nears it cautiously. ]

Who's there?

There's a chance you're a few digits off.

[ The idea that Loki might be faking does not occur to him for a moment. By pure happenstance the post catches him still in uniform, and this time he doesn't miss a beat. Check out that broad, reassuring policeman smile. ]

But I might be able to help. Your phone still locked?

[ An officer! ]

Yeah, it's complicated, I'm still hashing out how to open it properly. I'm having trouble remembering ... a lot.

Why do you ask of Asgard?

[ Why is everyone obsessed with this Asgard place? Loki's patience begins to run out after reading the garbled message in all its incredulity, frowning at the screen when some ... handsome blonde meathead flickers into video view.

Loki eyes him flatly. ]

Because it's on my username and I don't know why.

[ This is not good. First the Odinson now Loki. Something is affecting her family, maybe even the quarantine at large, and Angela will not stand for it. ]

[ Wary of the demand for his location from a very agitated woman, he counters, ]

Who are you? Beyond the name I read there.

I know you've talked to a few people but you are Loki. Which means that you are from Asgard and you probably accidentally froze your bed in your sleep.

[ as soon as Tony sees the video, he seeks Loki out. no matter what might be going on he still cares so very much about the god, so by the time he gets to floor five from his workshop, he is more than a little out of breath and not entirely put together.

still, at least he tries to contain his worry as he walks towards Loki in the lounge.]

Lokes, you okay-- you know what no, stupid question. Just-- shit, I don't even know....

[ he approaches Loki slowly, eyes wide. ] What do you remember? If anything?

[ Hearing the door open, he rises when a harried man strides in. Loki rakes him over with a glance, assuming the stranger is someone else who supposedly knows him, but that concerned face brings forth no emotive recognition; he supposes he should pretend it does, but Loki isn't fond of lying.

Instead, in exchange for the flustered anxiety on his behalf (which he appreciates a lot more than being told off, one way or other), he answers after a short pause. 'Lokes?' ]

I had an apartment in Manhattan where I used to live, then I came here because ... [ A frown pinches his brow as his heart aches. ] I think I had to leave.

Who are you, are you from New York too?
