[ Two very green eyes (wide, without their usual cunning gleam) stare into the camera when the recording goes live, glancing up to the username that appears. Reading it, he mutters 'Loki of Asgard' and frowns, glancing around himself as though somebody else may spring up and claim the phone. When they don't, Loki runs an anxious hand through his hair and lets out a controlled sigh at length, standing awkwardly in his tee and jeans in the Floor Five lounge. ]

This phone I woke up with in my pocket is locked and it won't let me do more than make an emergency call. I know I'm on a moon for some reason, what the fuck, so if this is the local nine-one-one line I'd like some assistance, please.

[ 'Calm under strain' would be an apt description. ]

Such as, ah ... What's Asgard? And, how did I just freeze my bed solid? Because I totally did. [ In a panic when he woke up bewildered, oops. ] I — I'm not sure what to do.





( ooc: forward-dating this to tomorrow bc i work full-time and won't be around; loki is suffering a near-complete memory loss for the event. he doesn't remember who he is, his fam & friends, that he is magic as heck, how to use said magic, or his extensive horrid history. all he knows is that he agreed to come to a moon and once had an apartment in manhattan. )

[ Do it for him despite everything Loki has heard today? That's far more attractive than that silly goatee, for sure (it's growing on him, the more he studies this man).

Loki chuckles, still turning his phone over in anxious hands. ]

You must be a good boyfriend.

[ Tony opens his mouth, and 'of course' on his lips because he would do that for Loki. they have made something that is real no matter what other people might say.

but he catches on the good boyfriend part.]

I would do that for you, Lokes. But let's hope... let's hope you get your memory back. I really don't want to have to let Strange re-teach you magic control...

I don't want to use magic for anything, I'm not even sure I could right now. That's not a problem.

[ Out of spite toward everyone who expects him to be a magical boy, more than anything. Instead of dwelling on that, he cocks a brighter smile at Tony. ]

Have I ever called you 'Tones'?

That... okay, at least you won't accidentally turn me into a snake then. I can deal with that...

[ he has more to say, inviting Loki to the workshop when he blinks and then laughs.]

Tones? No, no you haven't.

No? So you're the only one allowed to dole out pet-names?

[ Ferreting out details to do with their relationship takes precedence, mostly because Loki is desperate to know someone. To trust them. ]

I don't think there is a hard rule on that actually, you just-- never did. You do call me Anthony though, which ... I quite enjoy.

[ the smile on his face is crooked at that. it isn't a pet name but no one else calls him that. and he does like it. ]

[ His cheeks warm as he holds the eye-contact, furiously trying to think of something else salient to ask. ]

What did you do in New York or, ah, what do you do here?

Mmm yes, Anthony. [ the smile on his face grows as the heat flares on the god's face. ] Mmmm, superhero genius back in New York with a love of tech, here working perimeter defence. Similar but also not quite.

[ A pout drops so fast that he doesn't even try to hide it. ]

... I think I'll be a magical god, now.

[ How is he supposed to compete with a superhero genius, wow. ]

[ oh my god, you are even more adorable now. Tony can't-- he laughs and reaches over to shove at his shoulder. ]

You will, huh? You don't have to be if you don't want to, just Loki is enough as well.

[ He sways with the shove, shrugging. Tapping his phone on a knee. ]

I don't want to be a powerless damsel to a superhero, I hate the idea of that more than turning everything I touch into ice.

Trust me, I would never consider you the powerless damsel, ever. Even without super powers you formidable.

[ he watches the movement, nervous energy, for a moment before shifting close enough to put his hand over Loki's.]

C'mon, why don't we go get pizza.

[ The touch is unexpected and Tony draws his attention immediately when contact is made, cool knuckles turning under that warm hand to lace their fingers together with a squeeze. Grateful. ]

Showing me around with a promise of junk food? That sounds like a first date.

Mmm, second first date, sounds like a plan to me. Are you objecting?

[ there is a smile at that, eyes flickering between where their hands are intertwined with a fond look on his face.]

I will even buy, despite you being rich on this moon.

I'm rich? That's the second-best news I've had all day.

[ Not that he's in a hurry to jump up and eat right now, free meal or otherwise. ]

Mmm, you are. I am sure you would have figured it out eventually.

[ Tony hums, relaxes a little and raises a brow at the god. ] And what is the best news? That you have wifi?

[ WiFi is pretty awesome, but. ]

The sweet-and-thoughtful boyfriend angle, I'm not hating it.

[ Loki, please stop. you are making it incredibly difficult for him to not kiss you when you are being adorable. and Tony is pretty sure that isn't okay when you don't remember who you are.]

Well, not hating it is a start. But the wifi is better, trust me.

[ For the first time since he woke up, a mischievous quirk melts into his smile. ]

Depends which lasts longer.

[ Leaving that innocent statement as it is, he rises and tugs on Tony's hand. Pizza date time. ]

Will you tell me more about yourself as we walk?

[ ...oh for the love of--

Tony chokes a little at that.] That-- you know what, I am just going to leave that well enough alone right now.

[ because you don't remember, good god this is going to be A Test, isn't it. Tony is sure of it, even as he gets up to follow Loki, wandering to the door and out for pizza he is sure.]

Doesn't that ruin all the fun of discovering it all over again?

[ Heheh. ]

But I don't know what to ask you. Take the superhero thing, should I hazard a guess as to where you stand on capes?

[ there is another laugh and Tony caves a little, leaning in to press a kiss against Loki's temple. soft and easy.]

How about you guess, that could be more interesting. What are your assumptions about me, mmm?

[ In the elevator on the way down, he sidles into Tony's side to better receive the kiss to his temple. ]

You own fancy razors that you don't use often enough, your cologne smells like the engine oil I'm sure you've been around lately or otherwise it is the oil, meaning you haven't left your work in a while, yet you didn't pause to bring a coat before running over to help me today.

[ Loki squeezes Tony's hand. ]

You have a lot on your mind, but you're a good man who still did the right thing.

[ Tony hums as Loki leans in, wrapping around him easily like it is something they do often, as he listens to the god talk.

he finds it a little difficult to speak at first, something caught in his throat, but he presses his face into Loki's hair.]

.... you are far too perceptive, you know that right? I mean, not the greatest person, a little off on that but-- Yeah, okay.
