Good morning. I've recently arrived in Riverview - my name is Mordred.
Suggestions are both welcome and encouraged as I learn my way around this lovely city. So is advice. [Although that could be such a bad idea. It's fine. He's accepted his choices.] In the meantime, I'll be fulfilling a position with Gramarye Magic Research.
Those of you that use magic yourselves, I sincerely hope our paths will cross while I'm here.
[And boy does he ever mean it.]

[ Stay awayyy. ]
He, on the other hand, definitely needs a beautiful young man's attention.

He gets a little bit of a Look at the next part, though.]
Depending on the context, I'm not sure I'll be the one to give it to him. [He drinks slowly as his brow furrows a little.] Is he in charge? The Loki I met initially claimed to be the first arrival.

[ Sipping his drink, he shoots Mordred a look. ]
Stay under my twin's umbrella, if you can.

Mordred shrugs anyway, resting an arm against the back of the sofa.] I prefer to work under my own steam, with some exceptions. [That is, when someone is willing to teach him new tricks. The other Loki hasn't been especially receptive so far.] But I appreciate the warning; consider it taken to heart.

[ Loki tips his head back, his gaze sliding to Mordred's fingers on the cushioning. ]

[Another drink, and he speaks casually but the firm weight of belief rests behind it.]
Magic is not a party trick to be picked up and waved around. It requires respect. Disasters happen, otherwise.
no subject
[ Hey, Mordred left that one wide open. ]
no subject
From my own magic? None that bear recollecting. [Joke's on you, buddy.] Childish mistakes here and there.
no subject
So, you don't partake of the magical arts for fun? It's all business for you.

[ Go ahead with that train of thought, he won't interrupt. Blinking steadily. ]

[ More up Stephen's alley than lying so well the universe bends around you to accept your power as magic. ]
I'm excessively private, thank you. What have I flaunted about my power so far?
no subject
[He finishes off his drink and sets his glass aside, feeling quite comfortable now. Yes, this Loki is vastly different from his counterparts.]
In all fairness, yes, you do seem to possess a good deal more restraint than the Loki I'm familiar with. Then again, we haven't spent much time together yet.

[ Setting his drink between his thighs, he conjures what looks like two tiny potatoes into his hands and dresses them appropriately with more flourishes of green magic, a little lightshow for Mordred, something of a treat for being so patient ... and a great barman.
The tsumtsums of Loki and Mordred are placed on the back of the couch where they peer at each other. ]
They do seem to like each other.

Mordred stares at these two ridiculous-looking things and just... just...???]
What the... hell are those? [He picks one up and STARES AT IT.] Is this one supposed to be me?
no subject
[ He pokes his own further along, wiggling it at Mordred like one would when tempting a cat to play. ]
You're welcome.
[ Most gods might give a better gift but, no. Shitty plushies seems much more rewarding. ]
no subject
The resemblance is... uncanny. [He wiggles his very own tsum tsum at Loki's.] Thank you for this.
no subject
[ Boop-kissing the tsums, he hands his over. Peace offering. ]
no subject
It's almost touching.]
I'm honored. [Although the one that looks like him is oddly discomfiting.] And genuinely unsure how I can repay you for this.
no subject
[ It's very good. He may ask for the recipe in a text, tbh. ]
Where are you staying? I'm at the communal apartments too, floor five.
no subject
Then he blinks, genuinely surprised.]
You're in communal housing? [He wouldn't have expected most gods to put up with that for long. But then... this Loki does seem to have a social side. Millennial, even. There's something about him that is as young as he looks.] Floor three, for now.
no subject
[ As opposed to living part-time in the Sanctum, which he isn't willing to divulge just yet. ]
Anyone interesting on floor three?
no subject
[He really doesn't mean to sound disparaging, but it's definitely not a set-up that works well for him. Strictly temporary.]
Truthfully, I haven't made proper introductions to my floormates-- [or even his roommate] --just yet. I was eager to get out into the city
no subject
[ Wafting his face with a hand, so touched. ]
