[The video feed starts and at first you see a wall, then the camera moved until it is focused on Draco Malfoy. Hair combed into place and his appearance neat. Though out of the camera's view is a different story...

Draco looks a bit uncomfortable but puts on a good front, smiling. The camera isn't all that steady as he holds it at first. He's not used to this.]

Hello populace of Riverview. I am Draco Malfoy and I have recently accepted the position of Community Ambassador. As such I wanted to greet all fo you, and was informed this was the best way to do so.

[Time to make yourself seem more approachable now, Draco...]

Forgive me if this isn't the best use of this means of communication, I am still learning. I will look to you all for guidance in the coming days as I learn about our city. It is my goal to help all new arrivals as well as everyone in residence currently. I want to see our economy grow and our new home prosper.

Please, do not hesitate to introduce yourself to me. Also, please come to me with any concerns or issues you may have. I will endeavor to try and help you either myself, or at least get you in contact with those who can. I look forward to working with you all.

[Another smile appeared on his lips, seemingly genuine. And really, it is. More genuine than the first as he gained more confidance as he spoke. Easily falling into the role of a public speaker. It wasn't all that different from the way he'd been educated in and the circles he had run in before. It also helped that no one here knew him and his past.]

[It's been a bit of a process to work through everything that came with the transition from Wayward Pines to here, which has meant (for the most part) Izzy has ignored the network. She only vaguely paid attention to the setup that the quaint, and obviously backdated, town had before. Now, though, her family has found a home...all together and she's got a job...she's settling in, so why not now?

That might be the reason that the video feed catches her attention, and if it isn't she's not going to admit otherwise, obviously. Either way, the attractive blonde that appears after the shot of the wall gets her attention. She's not sure what convinces her to respond, but respond she does, pressing record--smiling in her usual confident way as the red light flickers to life.]

Congratulations, Mr. Community Ambassador. [The tone is both genuine, and with a note of tease--because the nickname.] I didn't even know that was a thing. So, we learn something new every day, hm?

[The natural confidence that she approaches people with can't quite help but come out, her friendly demeanor settling without a show of nerves. She's a bit luckier than Draco in that way. Izzy's ponytail is in place easily, just like her smile, the rune on her neck clearly visible in the video, mainly because she hasn't bothered to worry about them much.] I'm Isabelle Lightwood, I'm a forensic pathologist at the police station. And it's nice to 'meet' you. [Izzy lifts her hand to do a bit of a lazy version of airquotes--after all, they aren't meeting in the traditional way (in person)]

If you ask me this is as good a way as any to reach out. [She taks on with a wink. A show of support for a fellow (sort of) newbie here.]

[It is getting easier to use the device the more he responded to what was coming through to his little introduction. So when he sees the exotically beautiful woman smiling with such confidance he is able to respond equally as well in his estimation. Though the tattoo he spied gave him a slight pause before he hit record, not that it's noticeable in any way as he spoke.]

Thank you, Ms. Lightwood. It is nice to meet you as well, as much as you can meet a person in this fasion. I am glad it seems I have met with your approval. [There is a grin there, returning a bit of her teasing.]

I look forward to also getting to meet you in person. I'm sure you'll prove to be even more charming when I do.

You're welcome. And, please, Isabelle or Izzy. [Izzy gives a nod, ponytail moving with the bob of her head immediately after pressing the button to reply via another video. This really isn't half bad. Definitely better than the archaic methods.] And that was my thinking exactly. It mostly counts, though. [She wrinkles her nose with a bit of amusement before moving on with ease.]

I approve of anything that helps people settle in. It took me a bit of time myself, and I'm one of the lucky few that had family here waiting on me. [She's really not under any illusions that she isn't extremely lucky for that fact. If it weren't for her siblings (including the one by marriage) she would have felt much more lost.] So, having someone like you will help overall.

[Izzy can't help but flatter a bit, though it's all genuine. It is a new job, though, and everyone can use a confidence booster. Though, he seems to be growing in confidence by the moment, which she definitely doesn't mind. She can appreciate it.] Likewise, and I look forward to proving you right on that front. [It's a tease, but...when you're right you're right.]

[She was very intruiging indeed. Draco felt... drawn to her, despite the partial view of that tattoo he saw. Such beauty paired with such easy confidance... Draco would be a moron not to find that attractive.]

Mostly, but not completely. [He chuckles a bit.]

I sincerely hope I can live up to your expectations, Isabelle. Yours and everyone else, though I know pleasing everyone, as always, is an impossible task. Still, it is my hope I can do well by the city. [He give a slight bow with his hand to his chest as he starts talking and then straightens.]

I am sure you will prove me right. Of that I have no worry.

Gives the real thing to look forward to. [Izzy can't quite hold back the laugh of her own. She has always been the social Lightwood.

That and encouraging. She hasn't been ignoring the negative responses to Draco's video, and announcement. She's always been a firm believer that you can catch more flies with honey than vinegar, though, personally. The responses to the video are varying thus far, after all, but the blonde Brit does seem to be handling his own, so she can't help but mentally give him props there.

And the position, period, can be one to make a difference. That's really what matters, especially considering what he's said--extrapolating on the role that he'll fill thus far.] Well, some people don't want to be pleased anyway. [Izzy shrugs, a bit of amusement pulling at her face because she knows that it's the truth. No matter what you do some people will find something to complain about. So far, he seems to get what a position like this needs. So, there's hope for newcomers, which is nice.]

Just keep the realistic attitude that you'll do what you can for this place and I think you'll be doing great. [Izzy grins, exuding confidence. She means what she says, at that.] You set the precedent for the role, anyway, so you're only competing with yourself that I know of. [She's not sure if that helps or not, but she punctuates her point with a dainty shrug. She doesn't regret getting on the network today.]

I will keep your words in mind, for you are as wise as you are lovely.

[Draco kept his response short and sweet, not wanting to hold the conversation in public for much longer. It was far too easy to fall into flirting with her, and he did not want to seem quite so flirtatious. Still, he couldn't help that last parting comment.]

[Izzy can't quite help herself. Yeah, she didn't intend to flirt overtly, but really one can't help these sorts of things when they happen. It's only natural, of course.] See, I knew I was right to like you, you're definitely a smart man.

[The shadowhunter gives a wink.] Good luck, though, and if you ever need any volunteers to spring ideas off of or to get any projects done once you get settled in and find a rhythm let me know.

[Draco chuckled, his interest in this young woman only growing. He was going to have to search her out to see if she is indeed as harming in person.]
