[The video feed starts and at first you see a wall, then the camera moved until it is focused on Draco Malfoy. Hair combed into place and his appearance neat. Though out of the camera's view is a different story...

Draco looks a bit uncomfortable but puts on a good front, smiling. The camera isn't all that steady as he holds it at first. He's not used to this.]

Hello populace of Riverview. I am Draco Malfoy and I have recently accepted the position of Community Ambassador. As such I wanted to greet all fo you, and was informed this was the best way to do so.

[Time to make yourself seem more approachable now, Draco...]

Forgive me if this isn't the best use of this means of communication, I am still learning. I will look to you all for guidance in the coming days as I learn about our city. It is my goal to help all new arrivals as well as everyone in residence currently. I want to see our economy grow and our new home prosper.

Please, do not hesitate to introduce yourself to me. Also, please come to me with any concerns or issues you may have. I will endeavor to try and help you either myself, or at least get you in contact with those who can. I look forward to working with you all.

[Another smile appeared on his lips, seemingly genuine. And really, it is. More genuine than the first as he gained more confidance as he spoke. Easily falling into the role of a public speaker. It wasn't all that different from the way he'd been educated in and the circles he had run in before. It also helped that no one here knew him and his past.]

[Dorian seems to be sitting at a desk, though it's far more spacious than the small number afforded them by the communal housing. It's most likely his workspace at work, really, seeing as various small things here and there seem to be at least slightly magical in nature.]

"Community Ambassador"? To whom are you administering diplomacy, I wonder? Aren't we all part of the same ship, so to speak?

[And then there was a familiar face. Draco smiled in his response.]

Hello, Pavus. Think of me as an ambassador for the people to the government and to the budding corporations in the area.

Are they really so superior as to require ambassadorship? [Though judging from his smile, he's probably jesting.]

Well, if you need any guidance, I was an ambassador myself, back home. I'm sure it's hardly the same, but- [He shrugs.] I'm a team player.

[Draco chuckled, taking it as a jest, yet responding to it all the same.]

More that I think some people would rather there be an individual in the position of mediator. It can be a daunting task to approach these seemingly very important people while dealing with not only being new to an area, but new to an entire world and universe. With a cuture and people that are, frankly, hard to process at first.

[He then gave a thankful smile.]

I will keep that in mind, and will likely speak with you in the future. I am sure I could learn from your experiences.

And so they chose one of us, rather than one of their own to represent themselves to us? Strange...

[He shrugs.]

But I'm sure they have their reasons, right? [Why does he not sound convinced, though?] I'll do what I can, but this sort of reverse ambassadorship is a new concept to me.
