[The video feed starts and at first you see a wall, then the camera moved until it is focused on Draco Malfoy. Hair combed into place and his appearance neat. Though out of the camera's view is a different story...

Draco looks a bit uncomfortable but puts on a good front, smiling. The camera isn't all that steady as he holds it at first. He's not used to this.]

Hello populace of Riverview. I am Draco Malfoy and I have recently accepted the position of Community Ambassador. As such I wanted to greet all fo you, and was informed this was the best way to do so.

[Time to make yourself seem more approachable now, Draco...]

Forgive me if this isn't the best use of this means of communication, I am still learning. I will look to you all for guidance in the coming days as I learn about our city. It is my goal to help all new arrivals as well as everyone in residence currently. I want to see our economy grow and our new home prosper.

Please, do not hesitate to introduce yourself to me. Also, please come to me with any concerns or issues you may have. I will endeavor to try and help you either myself, or at least get you in contact with those who can. I look forward to working with you all.

[Another smile appeared on his lips, seemingly genuine. And really, it is. More genuine than the first as he gained more confidance as he spoke. Easily falling into the role of a public speaker. It wasn't all that different from the way he'd been educated in and the circles he had run in before. It also helped that no one here knew him and his past.]

[Draco had to raise a brow at the image of a pre-teen boy. He had to watch the reply a second time to be certain he heard right. This boy was in charge of a company? Interesting. As was the cultured tone of the boy's voice. Clearly Brittish and of the upper crust. In his response he is smiling, just as pleasantly as with all the others.]

The pleasure is mine, I'm sure, Phantomhive. I would say the title is no more impressive than one of your age being the owner of a company. In fact, I would think it's a little... less impressive. As for the necessity of my position, well, this is a growing economy. It only makes sense they would wish to have someone to help bridge gaps, so to say.

[He objects to be considered a pre-teen but there's nothing he can do unless it ends up mentioned aloud. Although the mention of someone his age owning a company does draw out a faint laugh.]

Thankfully, I've the benefit of a good education and experience from home. My age was never a factor there.

[He gives Draco's words some thought and then nods, slowly.] U suppose you've a point. Do they set any particular goals for you?

[Draco wore an honest curious expression as he replied.]

I think I would like to hear about your universe sometime, if you are willing to speak on it.

As for the goals, they have given me some leeway. They do require I complete certain tasks, yet have given me the ability to grow and expand upon my duties to better serve the City. Within reason, of course, and with proper approval.

I'm not sure it will be terribly impressive, considering my worlds level of technology has yet to reach that of Riverview but I'd gladly answer any questions you have.

[What's he got to hide? Besides half his life.]

Of course. I can't imagine they'd want us to have too much control while here. At least, not until those of us unhappy with our situation have come to terms.

My culture and... technology, as I guess you could call it, are also rather different from their world's. While you might not find your world impressive, I am sure I would find it rather interesting. But I digress... I suppose the saying 'the grass is greener on the other side' is rather fitting here?

[Draco grins at that.]

Well, that could certainly be a part of the reason. I think, though, it has more to do with allowing people to grow used to the culture and histories of Riverview. To become knowledgable and integrate into the society and established culture. Allowing us the opportunity to grow within our positions the more we adjust.

It sounds rather fitting. Perhaps we ought to talk of it over tea? Or lunch, I've no preference. I keep myself busy with Funtom but I'm always happy to make time. [It's not as big here as in London, where he can be away from any shop, but neither is it so small as to need his constant supervision.]

You're very optimistic. I find it impossible to trust in anyone who claims we're here because we needed a new home.

If your wouldn't mind, I would enjoy having company for tea. It is the one thing I am finding I miss the most, is taking tea. Perhaps afternoon tea?

[Draco has to supress his excitement over the prospect. Was it a sad thing to miss something to insignificant in just a short span of days? Perhaps, but it had been his routine before.]

I would not call it optimism. I never said we had to accept this universe as a permanent home. Even as just a... waystation of sorts making the most of a situation can only be beneficial.

That sounds fantastic. Unfortunately, I can't provide a proper tea, I can't cook at all. It is nice though to meet another person who can appreciate afternoon tea.

[He's missed that, the prompt knock at his office door and Sebastian bringing him tea and a snack. The only interruption in his day that was tolerable.]

I suppose it could be. [He's not so confident.]

In the absence of proper tea, we will simply have to make do. I am afraid I am much the same. I lack culinary skills.

[Draco's smile was a bit wider and more genuine now.]

Thankfully, when I arrived here, Damien was kind enough to teach me how to make tea myself. Without my butler here I've had to learn a number of things myself, so we're in luck.
