Let me tell you a little philosophy...

[The young man in the video — he's such a character in hair alone (what on earth is going on with it) — sits in his rented hospital wheelchair in his simple apartment space on floor 14 (needs a little work, he thinks, not nearly enough reading material or flashy bits). In one hand, he's got some silly romance novel that's clearly forgotten, and he looks a bit weary, a bit hollowed out from battles not yet mentioned, but he's clearly so very jazzed about the opportunity to be here in Riverview. After all, he'd thought he'd be a dead man, and though he's hardly out of the woods entirely, he has more time to keep going! More time to really go the extra mile -- literally! Ahahahaha!

Oh, yes, the philosophy. Ehem.

At this point, his mouth is moving a mile a minute.]

That's the fun of travel, and there's no better travel than hopping worlds; think about it...! Of all the universes and all the galaxies, you were extended a hand to this place — a one in a trillion chance, perhaps more, to be among the stars! Or perhaps to shoot across time and space like one...! More time to chase after longevity, to meet records, to dash down the sin of sloth. We all have the right to free will! Free will to fall in love, to learn and grow and develop new and interesting hobbies and ideas and concepts of what it is to be our own individual self; individuality is key! [He's balancing on one wheelchair wheel, spinning in a circle. Stop him. STOP HIM.] But what's the point of all that if you're too slow to get around to it, huh?! Don't let yourself hold you back!! If you want something, reach for it, so you know what that means—?!

[He stops. Drops back onto all his wheels, so tickled.]

[Keith didn't even wait. He just cut the feed off and started heading to the park.

Cougar, what did you start?]

[The most dangerous game, is what. Cougar is sitting in wait, happily reading what appears to be Gone with the Wind. Hahaha. Ha. He's still wheelchair-bound as ever, but despite his slightly weary and gaunt appearance he looks at ease.

He grins up at Keith's appearance.]

Someone who's on time!! I admire that in a person! Never a moment too late, that's me.

[Keith looked dubious, but nodded all the same.]

Alright, so what's the deal, here? You're not gonna pull some sort of weird trick on me, are you?

[Keith... that probably should have been the first question.]

[He tracks where he last read in the book with his eyes, so he can properly bookmark it.]

Weird trick? Are you usually a paranoid type? That's not always a bad thing, because maybe I do, maybe I don't! I'd say anything that catches you off guard is just something you didn't consider before rushing down here; I can relate to rushing into things, so it's no big deal, but -- yes!

Definitely, there's a trick to it.

Or a skill.

I guess? I just appreciate a fair contest, that's all. No cheating.

So... what's this trick skill ability thing you're talking about?

Hmmm.

I could show you, if you want? Or I could display it myself, but that's nowhere near as fun as joining in on the adventure... Do you like traveling really fast?

[Keith frowned a bit as he considered it.]

[But he also liked to be in control. Leaving someone else in control when it came to high speed went against Keith's sensibilities.]

[Boy, this guy's an odd one, huh. But spinning in a wheelchair is just too damn hard to resist!]

Then take the challenge -- literally! Just grab onto the handles of the wheelchair -- I'll take it from there, if you're sturdy enough to face a little speed.

[Keith eyed the wheelchair skeptically.]

There's nothing for me to stand on back there...
