[ She was getting pretty lucky the fire didn't do much damage or hurt anyone she knew - that she knew about, anyway. Still, she did spent the majority working on a few different outfits for Bill, as well as a certain doll for a certain Egyptian Pharoah. There's an image with a Marinette sitting on the bed, carefully jotting notes down on a pad before she turns to the feed. ]

Phew. I think I'm really going to have to find a place of my own at this point - I'm used to keeping my workspace to a small area, but... [ Meh. She shook her head a bit. Hopping up, she turned the feed around. ]

I got some outfits done though! And I didn't forget about you Bill- have a look. [ She points at a few different outfits. ]

I was outside the wall recently too, and came across a few snakes - I don't personally LIKE snakes, but they do have some really nice patterned hides. I sketched a few down - I think I'm going to dry making a pair of pants or maybe a dress in that style, if anyone's interested in having something like this.. [ She holds up her pad to show off the sketched design. ]

And I do take requests, naturally. [ She might be heading out there again to try to find new ideas, actually. ]

[ Action for Floormates/Visitors ]
[ After her network announcement, she made her way out to the shared living area to take a break from her sewing, making her way to the kitchen area, checking on the snacks she had been cooking. In fact, the smell of delicious, tasty yummies was filling up the area quite nicely, and Marinette was willing to share with anyone. Ah, well, except for the box she was going to sneak down to Keith as a thank you later. ]

That sounds like a nice thing to get.

[Keith wouldn't have minded pictures of certain people. Others he could probably do without... but a picture of the whole team would have been nice to get.]

[ She's silent a moment, thoughtful, and finally nods. ]

Yeah, it is. I mean.. it's weird that that's what shows up of all things, but... still. [ She pointed curiously. ]

What would you ask for, if something small came through the portal for you like that? I mean, if you had a choice. [ She didn't, but she wasn't complaining. ]

[Keith lowered his gaze for a bit, staring off into the distance for a moment as he considered it.]

I'm not sure. I never really had a lot of stuff back home.

[ HRMMM. ]

Can I take a guess?

[ Totally gonna guess what kind of stuff he had. Or would have. SHe may even make serious guesses! ]

[He shrugged.]

Okay.

[He was curious of what she thought.]

[ Having finished her treat, she sat back to study Keith at length, thoughtful. ]

Hrrm. I guess... books on astronomy, a piece of exercise equipment like weights or something? [ She kind of ponders if he's a tidy person or not. He doesn't -seem- like a slob, but you can't really judge that kind of thing. She'll take that risk though. ]

I'll bet you're not a slob though. And you have a secret lion plush in your closet.

[He chuckled a little.]

Sort of.

I had the books on astronomy from the classes I was taking at the Garrison. I don't really have any of my own exercise equipment, but I did make use of the base gym and the Castle's training deck. I don't really collect a lot of stuff, so you're right. I'm not a slob. But I don't have a lion plush. Honest.

[ She sat back, looking far too pleased at her successful partial guess. ]

Well, I can be satisfied with being partially right on that. [ Hrm. Maybe she'll have to be sneaky and make him a little Red Lion figurine. Sure, he doesn't collect a lot of stuff, but surely he wouldn't mind that, right? ]

But what about recreational reading?

[He probably wouldn't at all!]

Recreational... Hm. [He shrugged a little.] I wasn't much for it, honestly. I had trouble sitting still for long enough to really get into a story. I was more active as a kid.

[ She will totally make him one! She may get some help from someone else for what she has in mind. ]

Heehee, that actually doesn't surprise me too much. What kind of sports activities did you take part in? Track? Or, well was that more of a thing when you were enrolled at the Garrison?

I wasn't really in any organized sports, but Shiro started training me in martial arts not long after we met. It gave me something to focus all that energy on. [It tempered him a bit, too, giving him a routine and something he needed to concentrate on to get through. Keith had the natural ability and strength, but he'd been sorely lacking in the discipline area.] He got me hooked up with a few local competitions, too, to give me a goal.

[It also had gotten him out of some pretty bad trouble.]

Really? Awesome! Did you win any of them?

[ A whole wall full of shiny gold and silver medals right? ... also good on Shiro for keeping Keith out of trouble. We don't want to know what Keith would have ended up like if not for that. ]

[Keith shrugged.]

A few.

[Again, he wasn't big on bragging. Just like how he left out being the top pilot in a generation at the Garrison, he wasn't going to talk about the number of competitions he'd won. He almost looked embarrassed that it had even come up.

Trash talk between friends during friendly competition was one thing. Outright saying he was the best? Nah. Not his style.]

[ Oop, she treaded into embarrassing territory. .. She almost wants to tease him for that expression, but decides to steer it to a new topic instead. One that -probably- comes out of left field for him, but makes total sense to her. ]

Say um... do you think Red would let me sketch her? I mean. For that matter, would you?

[ Can't make a proper figurine without getting the details right, and she wouldn't want to insult the Red Lion by making a poorly designed figurine. ]

[Yeah. It could be kind of neat if he thought about it.

But, her question was kind of a surprise. He gave her a funny look, one his eyebrows arching upward.]

I don't see why not. I mean, I don't mind, and she seemed pretty okay with you. What did you have in mind?

[ Whoops, he might be suspicious. Recover, recover! Marinette shook her head quickly. ]

Oh, nothing special. Just a rough sketch - she's pretty cool looking, and I like to jot down things that have a unique image like she does. [ She might get a little more detailed than a rough sketch though. ]

Oh.

[Not so much suspicious, but curious, definitely. It was an odd request, but her explanation made sense. She was a designer, after all.]

Well, yeah. I mean, I don't see why she wouldn't. [It was one of the few areas where he and Red differed. She liked to show off a little bit more than he did. Though, usually, with him around, she was more subtle about it.]

[ Sweet. All the pieces to her little plan were falling into place nicely then. Little fibs were fine between friends, right? Especially when they were to the benefit of said friends. ]

Cool, that's good to know. Let me know when the two of you are out and about again, and I'll swing by with my pad. It won't take that long, I think. [ She'd be rather amused knowing that Red liked to show off though. ]

Alright, sure.

[By now, they had finished up their tea and sopapilla, and just making small talk... which Keith found oddly easy with Mari. Granted, she was doing most of the talking and driving the conversation, but still...]

Thanks for this, though. [He nodded to the box.] They were really good. [His whole reason for coming in the first place... to say thanks.]

[ SCORE. Marinette grinned at the agreement, pleased. She'd agree with him too, as far as making small talk with him. Well. It took some doing to get him to open up and relax enough to start talking about things, but baby steps! She prided herself on being approachable and easy to talk to so it probably is no surprise she's friends with so many in her class. Though she didn't expect him to thank her for the pastries, and she grins sheepishly, shaking her head. ]

That...? Think nothing of it; I mean. If you ever get a craving for snacks, I'd be happy to make more for you. [ Jeez Mari, you're already making the guy dinner after training sessions. ... come to think of it, was it weird to be treating him to snacks and dinners and stuff like that?

NAAAH. ]

It's good practice.

[He chuckled a little and then nodded.]

Alright. If you insist. I don't mind being a tester if you need one, either.

[NOPE. NOT AT ALL.

He got up to go.]

I'll talk to you soon, then?

[Small smile.]

[ Oh Keith now you've done it. Now you're going to be her official taste tester. She grinned. ]

Haha, Okay, I'll hold you to that, then.

[ When he got up, she did the same, intending to see him to the door like a proper hostess -and friend. ]

Yeah, any time~! [ Not an exaggeration either. Keith is one of the few people here she wouldn't mind chatting with at any hour, and given her schedule she's.. usually up at weird hours anyway. Girl needs to sleep more. ]

[He smiled and then headed for the door as she walked him out.]

Yeah. Later.

[He gave a small wave before heading into the elevator.]
