Voice/Action C-c-c-combo! A Chill Day.
VOICE. USERNAME: T.YAGI
Oh -- here we go --
[Some mild shuffling, sorry! Getting used to how everything runs here. He clears his throat]
Hello, nice to meet everyone here; my name is Toshinori Yagi, but most just refer to me as Yagi. I'm not that used to being unfamiliar of the community I'm in, so -- if you'd be willing, I'd love to know what sort of establishments or sights you have to visit around Riverview. Something to keep me occupied, and all; I just can't help but stay in motion and familiarize myself with everything.
I guess I can consider this a vacation from my usual... busybody work. For now.
ACTION. | HOSPITAL
[Firstly, he needs to get his medical junk in order. He's not fond of how reliant he is on doctor trips he's been the last five years of his life, but things change -- self-care, albeit shoddy, is a good priority to have. He supposes he'll lie about how he got his old injury, or... maybe he can find a doctor he trusts with the truth. Recovery Girl had been such a relief to have around, and he misses her already. That said -- office visit is a-go, and waiting rooms are not uncommon to him anymore.
Reason for visit? Blood tests to monitor his levels of -- well, everything.
When he leaves, he pit stops to the pharmacy for the usual -- injections, chewable vitamins, iron supplements. By the time he's heaving out, he's got a hefty paper back with the cute little Rx in rolling letters on the front.]
ACTION. | PARK
[... Toshinori jogs. He's got a little track suit -- er, a long track suit for a long fellow -- and he's just casually jogging. He doesn't last particularly long, and he finds himself sitting to rest nearby, where all the boys and girls are currently clustered to play on the equipment. It's pretty nice here, all things considered; he'll rest up, keep a watchful eye out for any danger. Some of these kids are out on their own, after all! They could use the neighborhood watch.
It always pays to be observant.
One of the young boys rush over to him, eyes wide and curious. He's got a sort of apprehensive aura about him, a ball under his arm and a preparedness to bolt if things go sour. Plucking his fingers from his mouth (you're way too old for that, my boy), he says firmly:
"You look like a ghooooul!"

Toshinori nearly falls off the bench, sputtering blood.
A GHOUL!?

Are you sure you don't need to see a doctor?
. . . An army of doctors?
no subject
[He glances over, more genuine in reply.]
... I'm fine, truly. Or as fine as one can get, with all things considered. You see, I was in an accident that made my health a bit poor.. but it's nothing you have to concern yourself with, lad.
no subject
Uhm, but obviously I'm gonna be concerned? You're coughing up blood. Regularly.
no subject
An unfortunate side-effect... I'm lucky to be alive. Some are not so fortunate!
no subject
[ He hears that a lot and to Jon, it sounds like the weirdest branch of logic. ]
But you would know.
no subject
[Leaning back, he gives a nod.]
And who is this concerned fellow who has graced me with his presence?
no subject
I'm Jon. Jon Kent.
no subject
[He'd give a handshake, but he probably seems like some bloody contaminant.]
Have you been here for very long? Or perhaps you're a native?
You seem well-adjusted to this place.
no subject
[ Which is pretty long, but Jon hasn't really given it much thought. ]
I was here with my dad and mom but they left a while back.
no subject
[He'd hate to think they intentionally left him behind.]
no subject
Sometimes? My dad got to leave a letter. I don't think Mom had time to.
no subject
[He rubs his chin. What a difficult thing to predict.]
Ah -- but I hope you're doing alright! It must be difficult to be so far from them.
no subject
[ He may not be used to it, but Jon's a smart kid. ]
I know they didn't want to.
no subject
You're seem very smart and independent for your age!
If you can... be sure to turn to your teachers or friends if you ever need a helping ear, too. I'm a teacher myself, so I can say with utmost confidence any teacher worth their salt will be more than happy to talk if you ever feel overwhelmed.
no subject
Yeah, I know. It's all good, honest.
no subject
You both have an adventurous walk to enjoy, don't you?
