[You can tell from the moment Thor's face appears on camera, he's been through hell and back. His hair is almost entirely buzzed down, save for the tufts on top, with markings shaved into the sides. His eye is covered by a black patch, indicating an injury that he isn't happy to talk about.]

I've made some changes. [Bluntly, as if he consented to any of this.]

What else.. Some things have happened at home that may be of interest to some of you. [He hums, considering.] Odin is dead. I have another sister? Her name is Hela. Mjolnir is destroyed. Banner is alive. [He feels a little guilty revealing that one, but he thinks someone deserves to know.] I fought the Hulk. I won. I met a real, live Valkyrie- And Asgard is.. [A people, not a place, but..] The realm has been destroyed. My people are seeking refuge, I suppose I understand now what displacement feels like.

I have the remains of Asgard in a ship, floating through space. If a portal could open for them, that would be extremely useful to me right now. I'm a king with no land or people, now. Very poetic. [Does he seem terse? He's kind of tense.


And then Loki comes barging in, looking very much the same and carrying a large parchment. He glances at the recording with a frown. He places the map of Earth on the wall, pinning it with a single dagger.]

Must you reveal everything? Put that away, I have work for you.

[ That's aimed at you, twin!! Having already spoken with Thor, this is mostly a check-in with his other self. ]

And don't settle in Oklahoma, whatever you do. [ Gods forbid that set of circumstances sets off the same chain-reaction he suffered, the plans and downfall. ] Or Latveria.

[ His eyes flash. Loki never had much patience for being told to be nice and his other self knows it. ]

Settling anywhere near the United States seems like a recipe for disaster.

It's not a bad idea. When Asgard was resurrected in America, everyone almost melted from the heat.

[ And temporarily relocated to Latveria, in their desperation. ]

Personally, I simply want to avoid Asgard being close to the Avengers.

[ In case Tony starts another robot invasion or whatever it is Tony does. ]

You wouldn't go to Alfheim in the spirit of, 'I'll simply avoid all the elves'.

[ He's well aware, but the more distance he can put out, the better. Loki has always been excellent at denial. ]

Alfheim would have been my choice, but Thor wants to go to Earth.

[ And Loki is coming along, which makes him antsy. Not that he doesn't think he can handle himself, but it is added stress he does not need. He washed his hands off Earth. And the idea that it might be their new home is grating. ]

Naturally. [ Of course Thor opts for Midgard and Loki is reluctant. ] If you get a chance, visit Manhattan.

Condolences are what people offer when they have nothing else of worth to pitch in, I'm trying to be useful. [ Cocking his head, he taps his chin. ] Anthony assisted in rebuilding Asgard and getting it into space, it may be worth talking to your Stark about that.

So I've heard.

[ But it makes his skin itch. Having mortals rebuild Asgard — to touch the Realm Eternal in any form. ]

But Asgard is gone. There is nothing left to rebuild.

I'm getting mixed signals about Oklahoma, now. I don't know where Latveria is, but point taken.

Well, clearly you should be listening to me because I can remember more about my former home. Go anywhere but America, and make sure the place has mountains and snow, otherwise you'll make everyone melt.

America is where my allies are. [But they are in a very divided situation, now.]

Father's desires to settle in Norway were made very clear. It's where I want to go. [For him, is implied.]

I can't very well bring five thousand aliens to Norway and expect they'll have me. [There's humor in his response, though.]
