An Announcement of Hipster Christmas
[The video opens up with everyone's favorite (but no longer only) Viking in the Quarantine. He's looking a touch more relaxed and less grumpy than he normally does.]
So I've come to learn of this Christian holiday Christmas that you all have. That's nice. [He says this in a slightly condescending tone.]
What you don't know is that the Christians took pretty much everything from the Norse to create it. Why? Because our holiday was much better than their's and they wanted in on it. Who wouldn't want to be as awesome as the Norse?
[He seems to realize he's losing the point and comes to it.] The gods and present Norse here in the city have decide to show you all how to have a proper holiday party. You're all invited to a Jól celebration. [Despite what the word looks like, it's pronounced "Yule".]
Eat, drink, and enjoy an animal sacrifice. Any naysayers or whiners will be subject to the whims of the gods. So I suggest you all be there. That is all.
[OOC: This is just an announcement post for the Yule celebration all the Norse characters have cooked up. If you wish to respond to Ivar directly, you can, but the log itself is over here!]

Does it hurt it? I'm not like... vegan or anything. I just don't like watching things suffer.

[There's actually a practical reason for this as Ivar goes on to explain.]
It's the best way because when an animal gets scared, it can taint the flavor of the meat. And that would just spoil the whole event to be eating meat like that.

Okay. Well as long as it doesn't suffer, I'm glad to come.

Okay! I will. If nothing else it'll be fun to see it in the flesh!
