[ Jason was face down, asleep in bed, dressed only in a pair of boxers. A pile of tissues nearby, and the gun resting on the bedside table beside a mostly empty bottle of NyQuil. A shot had been taken just after the text conversation with Damian assured that he was dead to the world. He had assumed he was safe, that Damian wouldn’t really bother… boy was he wrong.]

[Wrong? He wasn't just wrong. He was out right stupid to think that he could issue a challenge to Damian and the teen would just let it got. Please, Damian didn’t know how to let things go. It didn't take Damian long to find Todd, but he waited until the cover of night and returned to the communal living, finding the might Red Hood passed out and drooling into his pillow.

The evidence of used tissues liter in the floor made it clear the man was ill. This was going to be too easy, Damian might’ve felt bad if care, but a point needs to be made. You don’t threaten his pets, call him pipsqueak or challenge Damian Wayne! He moves to the trunk by Todd's bed and find his uniform and some gear. Smirking, Damian takes out the grapple and ties the rope around Todd’s ankles.

He finds the man's network device, because well, why not give Todd a recording of his defeat? Once his trap was set, Damian moves to the head of Todd’s bed, removes the gun on the nightstand and taps Todd’s red nose to wake him.]

...Found you.

[He drawls before firing the grapple towards the ceiling.]

[ The grapple was strong for sure, all bat-gear was and it had to be strong enough to let him move from building to building… so it yanked him hard and fast out of bed for the ceiling the way Damian intended. His eyes had started to slowly open at the tap on his nose before his world flipped.

Oh shit. He was not in any shape for this. It was by some higher power that he didn’t puke all over the place with the first spin. He looked green for a moment before the rage overpowered the logic. And he screamed as mad as he could. His hands flailing trying to get Damian but instead he found one of his knives in the bed and started swiping for the younger boy.]

Fucking! Little son of a bitch! Get over here!

[ He yelled as he tried to pull his legs free, but damn Damian’s knots. He couldn’t try to stab him and cut himself free at the same time.]

That it! Your dead again!

[Damian just takes a step back when Todd starts flinging a knife at him. What is it that Damian has on the nightstand? Why it's Todd network device and he is recording your misery as we speak.

After all, you said you didn't like pictures, nothing about video.]

I warned you that round two was coming, Todd. [Damian ducks another knife swing and points at Todd dramatically.] Did you really think I wouldn’t take up your challenge? Like I'd ever turn down an excuse to rain ruin on you Todd. [He says, because you really just asked for this.]

[ Jason growled still swiping the knife Damian’s way, but misery was his true love it seemed, and a violent set of sneezes came in fast repetition. Which was life in general just laughing at him. He tried to swipe at Damian again once he got the sneezes stopped. Dizzy, half drugged and sick as hell. This was not his day… and the damn camera.]

Turn that shit off! I swear to god I’m going to bring the pain when I get down! [ He yelled at Damian.] Shut it off!

[Not that Damian can talk, he has a habit of stirring up trouble to, he just usual fights his way out of it.]

I never thought I used to make it a habit, but I have to admit that lately it's been unavoidable.

Life got complicated after my birthday.

What is their skill set? Also, yours. How good are you at fighting?

Jonathan is his real name, Sebastian was the identity he stole and how he tricked us all. He was burned alive and looks like it, but he can hide it and appear as Sebastian.

[ Clary bit her lip as she tried to best sum up their abilities. ]

The runes give us power. Even when trained in hand to hand combat or the use of a blade, the runes allow us to move faster, be stronger... anything. I don’t have my stele here though to activate them.

Tt, magic. [Man he hated that stuff.] Not a problem, we've dealt with magic before, but being informed is vital.

[It's a shame about the powers, but they've managed against super-powered beings just fine with normal human abilities. In the end, it came down to who had the better plan.]

Don't worry. Skill and planning always trump powers in the end. As I said, I'm always the sure bet.

I feel like one of the few people around who didn't realise magic was a thing until I turned eighteen. Now it's everywhere. What kind of magic have you dealt with?

[ Mostly because magic seems as varied as the type of Downworlders that can wield it. Shadowhunter magic isn't the same as Magnus' warlock magic. ]

Yeah, I might not be quite as great at that part of things. But I'm getting better with the fighting. I've had my wins. But family is a special kinda challenge, you know?

[ Especially when your father has taken it upon himself to cleanse the world of entire species of Downworlders. ]

No, lots of people are oblivious to magic until it finds a way to ruin their lives. [Stupid lawless magic breaking the rules of science, physics and math. Bats like math. You do not mess with math.

[There might be a flicker of sadness at that last bit, but Damian is quick to mask it.] ...I know. Family can be a very different kind of challenge...

It changes on a day to day basis as to whether I think it's made my life better or worse. [ Math wasn't exactly Clary's strong suit. And while she did tend to appreciate what her new life gave her, she was also far too aware of what it had taken away from her. ]
