So here is a question: How would someone know that they like someone? Not just as a friend, but as more.
I've dated before, but this... this is different than that.

I hope you can be happy too.

Thank you, I already am. Far more than I would have dreamed I might be.
( Which is to say, she'd expected no happiness at all; just a loveless political match. )

That's good. Sounds like you've found someone you like too.
[Which seeing her talk about she feels for someone helps him too]

I have. In fact, you're speaking with him, above: Jon Snow. He's so unlike anyone I've ever met that it was easy to grow fond of him and more.
( Though she hadn't realized it for months. )

Oh? Was there something that made you realize you liked him, if you don't mind my asking?

At first, it was his single-minded dedication to help his people, who he put before himself. I respected it; then his honesty, which you must understand: I'd only met one other honest man in my life, and he was more like a father to me. It was rare. But it was before his interest had been pointed out to me, before I'd realized just how deeply I felt.
He wanted to leave, to do something which would surely result in him being lost to me. The thought of that struck me, and we looked at each other for a long time. I couldn't, didn't want to imagine my life without him. And I still don't.

[Her story makes him wonder how people see him, how they felt about him, if they think that he's someone they want to be with]
Then it worked out for you? And why only one honest man?
