it's more to do with the powers i get from my father

but putting it simply, i can control, manipulate, and summon the dead
they do sometimes tend to be better company than the living tho

Me too! I can visit the afterlife as well, although I've learned recently that I can only visit those who have died in this world... I've tried very hard to find those from my world and from others' and it doesn't work. I'm sure you'll run into the same problem.

Although, oddly enough the soul of a crow from my world seems to have found its way here. It didn't come with me - the skull did, not the soul - but a week or so ago it started crowing again and I can't for the life of me think of why or how.

from the afterlife of this universe.

as for why a crow would follow you
i can only assume it's because it's tied to your soul
in some way or another

anyway, are you a demigod or just a regular mortal

More gods, I presume... my world has no gods. So, I suppose I'm a mortal with magic.

I suppose the crow must like me. [This is her attempt at a joke.] After all, my daughter is tied to my soul.. but I can't think of why the crow would. Aside from being perched on my head for ten years or so.

...It's a hairpin. Made from the bird's skull and feathers. I feel I should elaborate on that.

for about 70 years
and i didn't age

Well... I sort of understand the feeling. When I was dead I had no sense of time. But my soul was rotting down there, literally falling apart, so perhaps your situation was better.

It would be nice to split the work of speaking to all the people who have died out in this particular commune. So, it would be us, and two people who have agreed to guard us... well, one person who volunteered himself and his fiance.

...I've yet to decide if my pet is coming along -
he does need some training in combat.

Their names are Laurent and Damen. I don't know them particularly well, but I always find it better to have too much protection than too little. Unless you have some specific objection.
