[The video pops on, with Emma sitting in the kitchen of her apartment she shared with Lucy. The fact that she has a pile of cookbooks next to her, shouldn't concern anyone unless you know her of course. ]

Right. let's do this. I'm Emma... Swan. I've been here for a couple of months and recently my granddaughter showed up. It's confusing since when I left my kid was her age, but not the point.

[She sighs smiling a little.]

I figured I should probably learn how to make actual food that isn't Tacos, pizza, pop tarts, or boxed mac and cheese. Are there any gourmet chefs out there?

You want to learn how to cook? Lucy and I are going to do it together, and I'm sure she'll be happy if you joined us.

It's fine. We can go to your place or mine, whatever you prefer.

[pause as she bites her lip because its Emma and she doesn't emotion well ]

You make this place better.....for me I mean.

I was wondering if you would stay with us and watch Lucy while I'm gone?

[Emma]

[jolting]

The feeling is mutual. Lucy's a wonderful girl.

[his eyebrow raises]

She is, but then she is Henry's so I might be biased.

[She pauses and takes a breath ]

There is a scouting mission to the wall. I thought I could help. but I'll be gone for about 10 days. I need someone to look after Lucy. Not that she thinks she needs looking after but she is still a kid and she is Henry's.

[ she grins at him. ]

Just make sure she doesn't talk any side trips to Boston okay?

[Emma]

[jolting]

I think I can manage that.

[he shrugs] Half of my projects involve Lucy anyway. It'll hardly be an inconvenience.

Really? I thought she was a little more excited about gardening. And we're all going to learn to cook together.

I think that last one is because she doesn't want to starve to death. [ She smirks then. ]

Wait~ Hold up, you garden?

[jolting]

Botany is science, and I figure it’s a safer way to mess with life and death.

Unless we create a race of killer tomatoes.

Uh.... Thanks for that.... and yeah, it is. I do get what you were trying to do with... [ She stops herself because why bring up painful memories? ]

It must have been difficult for you to be stuck in Storybrooke?

[jolting]

Yeah. Being stuck in a world of air conditioning and electricity was a real burden. [such sarcasm]

Do I hate that I lost out on thirty years where I could've been helping Gerhardt? Yes, of course I do. But I'm not unhappy with my life in Storybrooke anymore.

[thesavior]

[Emma can't help it, she starts laughing, because she hasn't heard sarcasm like his in a long time. ]

Sorry. I'm really glad to hear that. I'm also glad your here.

[jolting]

Me too. I've gotten to experience a lot here.

[thesavior]

like what? If it's not too personal?

[jolting]

Like not being the only qualified doctor in the hospital. That's a nice change.

I can see why that would make you happy.

[jolting]

Right. Hey, good luck on your mission, by the way. Better bring back something really unique for Lucy.

Just don't hurt anything important in your body and that'll be enough for me.
