IF SOMEONE HAS RECENTLY LOST A KITTEN BY THE NAME O F 'GARBANZO BEAN', I HAVE HIM IN MY POSSESSION. THERE IS A NAME TAG BUT NO NUMBER ATTACHED.
HE IS VERY HAPPY AND HEALTHY AND IS USING MY COUCH AS A SCRATCHING POST, PLEASE LET ME KNOW AN OWNER IF YOU CAN. ΣΣ(ﾟДﾟ;)

[There is a skinny, concerned man of about 7'3" standing in the local superstore, in the pet food section, with his hands full of various cat toys. And apparently the source of his misery is trying to figure out which of these twenty different kinds of cat food would be good for the young Mr. Bean residing in his private apartment. Look, toys are easy. But diets? Toshinori is more than familiar with the difficulty of a well-balanced diet!

OH THE HUMANITY, WILL HE EVER ESCAPE THIS CAT HELL.]

[He rubs the back of his neck and laughs it off a little.]

How big are they? Do you have a picture on your phone? How old they are will affect what food you should get them.

Ah, just one, actually! His name is — Garbanzo.

[It's such a silly name, but it's endearing! Besides, he doesn't have any heart whatsoever to change it from the name on the collar, whether the owners locate him or not. Toshinori considers it with a little frown, coughing absently into the crease of his arm when his throat feels tight.]

That may be a problem... I have no clue how old the young fellow is...

[It's an adorable name, she agrees, and he should absolutely not change it!]

Well is he closer to this.... [She gestures with her hands a rough kitten size, followed by the larger size of a full-grown cat.] Or this...?

[Ah...! He awkwardly moves his large hands carefully — not quite an extremely young kitten who can't handle their hard food, but certainly a kitten nonetheless.]

Oh okay! So she's not too young...

[She scans the shelves before picking out a bag of older kitten food.]

I think this should do just fine, for now!

[After a moment, he holds out a bony but large hand; tall people, am I right?]

I'm Yagi, by the way. Sorry, I should've probably introduced myself sooner.

[Dude, you just met her, it's all good.

Still, he thinks it pays to be quick about introductions when you look like him.]

... OH! To scare them off from doing it again, I see.

... Do you have any recommendations on kitty litter?

Yes! Just right down here...

[She walks down the aisle to where the kitty litter is.]

This clumps well and helps keep the odor down. But! It might take a few times to see which kind she likes best. Trust me, she'll let you know.

[He seems so utterly focused, nodding in earnest with every word.

For someone who is technically a teacher recently, some days he feels much more like a student.]

And that reminds me - let's talk a little about... clean up.

[And lo, she will lead Toshinori on a journey no cat parent wants to go on, yet is critical. There's the more fun stuff too though - cat toys and cat beds and cat treats and well... now his cart is piled high with new cat stuff.

She may have gone a bit overboard.]

[OMFG this is a slow death.

He supposes he'll need to keep a bigger budget and not give quite so much to charity and the like.

After all, it's important to be a responsible pet owner!!
