saying 'we're all stories' is making it sound like they're all worthy of sharing. My story isn't the interesting, or the important one to tell.

Oh, hardly. There are countless awful stories out there. Some of us have to live them.

Whose is important? From one bit player to another.

[ Jefferson had always been too short-sighted and too wrapped up in his own concerns to think much about the oppressed, in the Enchanted Forest, in Wonderland, and any of the worlds he'd visited. But he knows there are others out there who aren't like him, who can't put blinders on when faced with injustice. Those are the sorts who become heroes. And Jefferson... he doesn't have what it takes to be a hero. ]

So, who are the oppressed, where you're from? What are their stories?

Mutants. Genetically different, and powerful, so considered dangerous, and not afford the same rights Humans get. Feared, hated, shunned from society if they have the disadvantage to look different.

I'm a Mutant, myself, but I look Human, so I'm lucky.
