My name is Steve Rogers. In my world, I'm also known as Captain America. Some of you might know me, but that's not what I want to talk about.

[Well, not about his work specifically. He does wants to talk about work.]

We're all here for different reasons and I'm not going to pry into anyone's business, but I think there are some of us who are used to defending people in our home worlds and if you are, I'd like to work with you. If you're from a world like mine, then this city is quieter than others. But that doesn't mean we don't need to look out for it. The wildlife and technical problems still need attention. I know I'm asking you for more time on top of the work we're already doing with the Perimeter Guard and official positions, but I'd like to make that extra effort. A lot of you are probably better suited to organizing this than I am. If you have projects going, I want to join you. I want us to share those ideas and work together to help the city.

[His posture gets subtly more stern, with his chin raising and his shoulders straight. This part may not just be a general appeal for teamwork.]

It's easy to overlook some problems when most of the big issues are under control. We get by well enough. It's a nice place. I'm not going to let anything put this place in danger. I'm going to be on guard, to make sure nothing gets out of hand. I'm sure this doesn't apply to everyone, but if you're interested in a little community service, maybe we can do that together. Pilot? I wouldn't be opposed to a ride out sometime. I was planning on going pretty far if you can spare the fuel.

I was hoping to gather up a few volunteers and see how far out we can go beyond the Abandoned City. We usually only stick to the area, so I figure a group of us can do a bit of scouting, maybe help the survey team while we're out if they need any supplies relayed.

Nothing too heavy. I don't plan on engaging anything, but we should see this moon we're on.

I just came back from a long haul outside the wall. Gets pretty wild out there.

I’d plan to engage on engaging everything, because it's sure as hell going to engage you.

Are these PG volunteers? I wouldn't advise taking anyone less than proficient at heavy arms.

It can be a little lively, yeah. But I'm sure we'll be all right.

As a rule, yes. There are some that aren't with the Guard that would still like to help out, but we'll make sure that everyone is properly prepared.

I'm all for people pitching in where they can, but a long-patrol mission outside the wall isn't exactly the place for civilians to lend a hand.

They might mean well, but they're more likely to get themselves or someone else hurt if they don't have the same level of experience and ability as the rest of the team.

Understood. It wouldn't involve inexperienced civilians, just people that might not have joined the Perimeter Guard for personal reasons. Experience is still a requirement and I'll keep an eye on them.

I just know that some people like to keep their heads down for the most part. They could still decide to help on one run.

I'll leave the mission and roster to you captain, but when we're flying? My shuttle, my command. I don't want any yahoos looking for a good time outside the wall screwing around thinking they don't have to follow the rules because they didn't enlist.

If anyone's got a problem with that they can utilize the parachutes.

Try not to kick people out from too far off. It's a long walk. But I'm sure a little hike won't hurt any of us.

I'm not going to kick anyone out unless they make me.

It kinda sounds like you think they're going to make me.

Well, I wouldn't stop you if you felt the need.

I do know a few who might deserve it.
