[When the video pops on, there is this unusual face. No, it isn't a mask. This is who - and what - he actually is. But he is also offering a smile, a gesture of no harm intended, yes? He's expecting a wide variety of reactions, but he has come to know that humans like smiles as well as he does.]
It is far past time that I made myself known and offered my greetings. My name is Wing, and I am what you might call a living machine. My kind are called Cybertronians. None who I have met here so far seem to know what that is, so I think I may be the first of my kind to set foot in this city. If I am mistaken, feel free to let me know.
[Please let him know?] In any case, I'll be assisting you in the Perimeter Guard on patrols and such, wherever help is needed, whatever help is needed. If you should require anything, please don't hesitate to ask. My weapons are my blades and I know them well, but I am not here purely for combat. I was once a go-to for guidance on other matters among my kind.
Thank you for hearing me, and for letting me live here in peace.

sure is a robot dude. That's kind of cool? He's right though to think that humans like smiles; at least, this human-presenting woman does. She smiles right back in response. ]
Nice to meet you, Wing! So, forgive me if this is an offensive and/or obvious thing, but- Can you fly?
video
And the same. It's not an offensive question at all! I guess my name gave me away, but yes, I can fly. [She can't see his back, but his wings are there, folded.]
video
Whhhhaaaattttt, that's awesome! Man, I wish I could fly. How cool.
no subject
I'm not unique in this among my kind. Some are like me, but others are bound to the ground without aid. I've understood that humans can fly, too, with some kind of device or machine. Have you had anything like that?
no subject
Yeah! We got airplanes and, like, that kind of stuff. But people can't just fly. So it's a thing a lot of people dream about, I think. Having wings and being able to free fly.
no subject
Ah, I understand. Something I take for granted now, I suppose. You see, I rarely leave the ground unless I need to. My wings were used mostly in combat situations, but even so I found they can get in the way. I can't sleep on my back, for instance, but if I needed them and they weren't there, I might find myself regretting all of this complaining I'm doing.
no subject
Huh! I always wondered about that, actually... For as cool as wings might seem, I guess they must be awfully inconvenient. Like- Well, you don't have to worry about this but. Clothes! You'd have to cut holes in them for your wings to fit through and everything, y'know?
And, man. Not being able to sleep in certain positions comfortably must suck. I'm glad that's still not enough to make you not want them though. I think they're cool!

video; @Link
Hi! I was wondering where you've run off to.
[Not that Link can say much. He's never really in one place for long.]
What have you been up to?
video
Here and there, anywhere I'm needed. I could ask you the same. We've been hard to find, but patrols keep me busy these days. I've an unusual shift, since I rarely sleep, I'm told. How have you been, my friend?
video
Find anything interesting lately? [It could be anything Wing has found, not necessarily having to be related to the Perimeter Guard. It'd be interesting to see what caught the eye of a giant metal man.]
no subject
I think it might interest you to know I've seen a great deal of forested area beyond the wall, but you've probably seen it already. Do they send you on regular routes in the Guard?
no subject
I've seen it, though I haven't reached it yet. The Guard seems pretty focused on getting the ruins mapped and salvaged before expending that way. I don't have any regular routes. They just let me pick a direction and are happy enough as long as I map out where I went and document my findings. Do they have you on a specific route?
no subject
No regular routes? Hm. [Interesting.] They haven't placed me on anything in particular, but I do watch the previous routes taken and try to work my way around them before tracking back along one or another. I like that they keep things random, but it does me good to know that nothing new has cropped up since our last trek out.

Would you mind defining living machine a little more?
video
Not at all. I suppose I can describe what I am as... what a human is, in a way, or my understanding of what a human is. I am created, I live, and one day I will die. [Again.] My kind is very much sentient, though we're made of metal, for the most part. We've our own opinions and personalities, we have our own passions and goals in life.

[ Dorian smiles, a little bashful. ]
I think. I'm an android.

An argument for the ages. Some would say I am not alive, but I can debate that until the end of time. You seem alive to me. That would depend on what defines being in such a state. We could go on for hours.

Did the portal shrink you?
*Lola, you don't just ask that! Gosh.*
video
Sometimes, I find that the differences between you are the best part about someone. I've never met a human before I came here, but I think I'm going to like them. But... I'm not sure if the portal did anything to me, physically, besides bring me to a new world. Maybe it did, maybe it didn't. I don't feel any different.
no subject
*Says the girl who goes out of her way to look noticeable.*
My friends had robot lions show up through the portal, but apparently the portal shrunk them. I guess you wouldn't know if you don't know how a human scales against you...
no subject
It is possible. For everything I know, I shouldn't be here right now. I should be dead. [Those last moments are hazy, but he remembers the blow, he remembers a searing pain, then... something... and then he was here without a scratch.] I was among a group of my kind who were... isolated from the rest of our people. If one of the others outside of my city has ever met a human, they could tell me, but I may be the only Cybertronian here.
no subject
On the other hand a lot of town isn't really... sized, for the super super tall. But if I was the only one of me on this moon I'd jump at the chance to say hi to even people from home I didn't like that much.
*Lola misses home a lot.*
no subject
Understandably so. It wasn't hard to figure out how to communicate to the city itself through the network. The technology is very similar in concept to what we had on a global scale on my home planet. I can't see it being any more difficult for someone else like me to have made themselves known to your people in all of this time. Still, unique though I may be, I'm no less for the experience. I do like it here.
