Okay, so this is amazing. I have a room with a bed — and I'm not entirely sure what they expect me to do with that. Also my own chair! It's a sweet deal.

Unfortunately, I don't think my charging station came with me on the trip here. Does anyone know anyone technically minded or with a large amount of appliances and scrap? I kind of need it so I don't run out of power. Low charges are hellish.

Yeah, the beds are pretty standard. Everyone gets one, though some people get private rooms instead of being assigned to the communal ones.

[ The guy looks so happy, though, Jim can't keep back an endeared smile. He's got a mildly puzzled look, but the rest of the video has answered some of the questions he would have otherwise asked. So he makes an educated guess instead. ]

[ Dorian doesn't mind others around. Rudy was . . . an exception, but the idea of communal space isn't bad. It's not as though he'll be put off by the habits of others. If anything, he's kind of curious to see how they'll take to him. ]

It's Dorian. I take it I'm the first android around these parts?

First one I've ever heard of, at least. I mean, there are some pretty amazing advancements back in my universe, but nothing like... well, like you.

[ He's so fascinated, sorry Dorian but you may have gotten a fan. ] I'm Jim, by the way. It's really... wow. Really nice to meet you.

[The camera suddenly swings around to point at the metal arm on wheels tucked into the corner.]

Dum-E, say hi.

[And the arm comes up suddenly, claw at the front contracting and expanding like an attempt at a wave.]

That was the project code provided by the company that created me. If it stands for something specific, I am not aware of it.

[ There's a lot he doesn't know about Lumocorp. A lot he's not sure he wants to know anymore. ]

Just doors. Portal technology hasn't been refined yet.

[ Dorian grins, a flash of bright teeth as he speaks in perfect seriousness. ]

Hello, Dum-E. It's a pleasure.

[ He's familiar with this, at least. People still get a little star-struck around robots. ]

Likewise, I'm sure. I'd love to hear about your universe sometime.

[buildsomething]

[The arm bounces up and down enthusiastically, and the camera twists back to show Tony's amused face.]

He's not much of a conversationalist, but at least he's got his looks.

I'm sure he's fine the way he is. He's definitely got personality.

Oh yeah. Plenty of that.

[Tony rolls his eyes, but his expression is fond.]

And I'd love to hear about yours.

[ Jim never thought he'd get to meet a fully sentient android in his time, alright? And one with a synthetic soul to boot. God he's got so many questions. But he'll try to rein it in just so he won't overwhelm Dorian. ]

[ Dorian shrugs loosely. ]

Sure. I have time, which is . . . unusual still.

Robots don't usually get to hang out with robots. Or have personalities, I find.

[buildsomething]

No? Seems like a waste.

[Not that Tony doesn't have a few of the personality-free ones himself, but those are just for manufacturing. And they didn't get to come through any weird portals, so it goes to show.]

Anyway, I've also got my AI JARVIS, I think I told you about him.

[ Dorian purses his lips, a very human-like gesture he's imitating. ]

Not sure about JARVIS. You did mention Vision, though. Is he here?

Vision? Not that I've seen. He's kind of hard to miss, though.

[The color-scheme alone would do it, really. And fashion accessory.]

How so?

[ He's actually curious about Vision. About other robots. He wonders how much of his experiences are shared. Or universal. He's never thought about being alone or feeling alone. It's hard to get bogged down when you're so relieved to be alive. ]
