Would anyone care for a spar? Weapons and magic are both acceptable to use. I feel myself restless without much to do in terms of fighting. It is strange to go so long without having a war to think about.

[ And his tail mimics his own thoughts on the matter, restless and...just impatient seeming. Though his expression turns thoughtful as he pauses to think on something. ]

Back at home I did not have many...hobbies either. So perhaps if you have any ideas on some that would be most appreciated. I am not sure what to really do to pass the time here. But fighting is always something that is enjoyable for me. I am curious to know what you all do to keep yourselves entertained here, if it is not too much trouble to speak of.

I don't think I've ever had a real hobby. Playing a piano looks nice though.

[he's not objects, not a weapon, but he's trying to be a human when he's something entirely different.]

You do not seem much different from a human. But I have learned not to judge based on appearance alone. You are not human then I take it?

[ He shakes his head, hair falling over his shoulder as he does so. ]

It is not that I cannot. But it...proves little in providing energy for my kind. I hardly ever run out of energy, and do not require much rest, but food helps in a small way to prevent what little fatigue I feel.

I'm not, I can just look like one. But it's like you said, I'm trying to become something more.

[an actual human, if the legend is true. and he finds that he is relieved to hear that he actually can eat if he chooses to, that he can at least get something out of the act, however small.]

There's lots of interesting things here. Surely your goddess wouldn't mind if you tried some.

My goddess would suggest it even. She is...quite open towards what we do. As long as it does not infringe upon the other gods or their lands or people, we are free to do what we like. Here it is no different, I will keep her rules and principles in mind always. But I feel that she would agree with your statement.

[in case he's familiar with her, and with minsu's cousins. he's nervous about going into detail beyond that, of revealing the despicable truth that anyone who recognizes the word for his kind would likely also know.]

Inari...I have never heard of this goddess before. And why are you not one her ilk? Does it matter so much either...being what you are, goddess blessed or not, does not make you any less stronger than those who are.

[ Though his tail might sway as he gives Minsu a look. ]

Why do you wish to become a human so badly? They are...rather fragile. What is wrong with being what you are that you wish to change it so?

[ He's just generally curious is all. He'd never give up his body or his form for anything. But perhaps to become stronger and he doesn't see turning into a human as something that can give him that. ]

[an important one, though it doesn't have anything to do with strength, and it's not something that's in minsu's favor. he starts thinking about how to best explain those differences, how inari's children lack the hunger that damns all of his kind. inari's foxes can be good and bad, playful and mischievous, but he doesn't think of them as monsters.

Ah, but that's part of what makes them so great! They can get hurt and sick, they even die, but they don't let that get in the way of anything! They laugh and love and make magic and music and babies! [minsu's smitten by them, by all of them.] They put bacon on everything!

I do not see how that is 'great' but perhaps you see something in them that I cannot. As a warrior sickness, pain, being hurt easily that is not appealing to myself. Humans are frail compared to my kind, I do not think little of them since being here I have met some rather strong and worthy fighters that are humans. But I cannot say I would ever wish to be one.

But I will agree that the way they cook and use bacon and other ingredients is quite amazing.
