[it's steve's first time on the network, though anyone who's met the other steve might need a second glance. he's sitting on his bed, a box of cookies on one side, and a familiar shield propped up against his knee.]

So I guess I'm not one of the new kids anymore. [there's new names, new faces - some familiar ones too.] For anyone who just got here, it's okay if you feel a little bit overwhelmed. I woke up once before and the world had changed, so I guess I might've been a little more prepared for it than most. My advice is to keep busy if you can - they say action is the antidote to despair. Find your friends too, or make new ones. There's no shortage of good people here.

[that's not his cue, but might as well make his introduction here.]

My name's Steve Rogers - the other one. If I can lend a hand with something, if you need an escort beyond the fences, just say the word. Confusing, but I think that's a normal feeling. [ unless someone is used to hopping worlds and being stuck in one without being asked their opinion on that ]

They are. Like I said, it just takes a little bit of time.

People are different. Some probably take a little longer than others. Just take it day by day.

I am. I've always wanted to visit Japan. I hear baseball's pretty popular there.

Yeah- well- [ he looks a bit awkward ] I'm not really into sports that much. I'm more into books. [ so Kaneki doesn't really know what is popular and what people prefer - he doesn't care about sports ]

I like to read a lot too. Always have.

It's important to read. Not just to pass time, but to learn as well.

I work at the library, so I'm surrounded by books. It'll be fun, though - I've never heard of these, and I don't even know what too expect. [ so he is pretty excited about it

I always liked history. Biographies. Friends have told me that I have boring tastes.

I don't think they are. It's good to read biographies, you can learn a lot from different people - who might not be so different from you - and you can the context of their lives. The time period, the culture, the social-economics-

it's really interesting. [ and kaneki is a huge nerd ]
