@lightemup
So like, I've been in Riverview for nearly a year now, and fuck if it doesn't have some people from interesting worlds! I've made some rad friends.
Me, my brother and the rest of our team are kinda experts at multiplanes and jumping between worlds, and since I'm bored as hell, here's a survey about the different worlds here and what you got in them. I mean, most of the people I've talked to are humans, some form of extra-powers humans or super extra humans plus, but their worlds don't have elves or dwarves or even halflings?
The world I'm from had like.. hundreds of different kinds of species of people. I've seen some around here, but still I wanna know more.
So fill in this shit okay? There's a cookie for you if you do.

I haven't heard of the other ones, though. Are they in more than one world? 'Cuz that's how I was choosing some of the others. Asgard is like, an ancient human religion thing in some Earth worlds?

If you want to simplify it, 'Asgardians are gods' isn't technically wrong. There are Asgardians who aren't gods though. Not in the same sense one would consider Odin or Thor a god. Asgardian(Aesir) gods were more prominently worshiped during the Viking age by Scandinavians. When Christianity became more prominent(on my Earth at least), many Scandinavians converted to Christianity. By the 13th century it was pretty much wiped out as a religion, but survived to be preserved as written text. It's speculated that they started out on Earth when the giant known as Ymir came to Europe with Audhumbla and discovered Buri(firstborn Aesir) in ice, who had children with one of Ymir's offspring. Although other sources say they found him in Niffleheim.
I'm not an expert or anything, you could probably ask one of the Asgardians around here.
I dimension-hopped a decent amount back home and can confirm there were several different corners of the multiverse with Kree and Skrull. That could just be my corner of the multiverse, though. There are Symbiotes, Dire Wraiths, Celestials--more than I could name off.
But I guess it depends on how much space exploration other Earths have gone on, or who has landed on their planet. Or if they even exist. Considering how many planets there are in the universe and how widespread it was, I wouldn't be surprised if there are many Earths that have never witnessed other lifeforms from different planets or different dimensions or realms.

[She's loving this. Nerd with her, Billy.]
Man there are so many multiverses out there. I'm glad I had an 'other' option because it's so much more than I imagined, collecting here. Pretty nice to hear it's not ONLY humans all the time, though. I was starting to think our world was unique in being full of other people than just humans.
According to the results so far, there are a few that are from Earths that do not have magic or anything other than humans.

It could just be that those Earths haven't YET discovered anything off, but that doesn't mean it's not there. Or there could just be nothing at all, I guess. The multiverse is a strange, giant place. Who knows how many different versions of different planets exist, or how many possibilities became truth in them.

[Pay attention, Lulu.]
and yeah I get what you mean. it's pretty endless how shit can be different from each other, even from the same-ish world. I mean there was a guy here from the same world as the last one we ended up in, and his Faerûn was like, super racist against dark elves.
no subject
What's your world like?
( dwarves, elves, halflings, faerûn, hmm. . )
no subject
like... it has magic and not much of this super technology things. Humans are not like, the most common people everywhere like it seems it is in some worlds, and like I said, we have hundreds of different people. Everything from elves, which seem a little more popular, to like... mind flayers.
It's not the world I was born in but it's pretty damn similar, aside from a blue sky and only one sun.
no subject
What was the world you were born in like?
no subject
It had a purple sky and two suns. A little more technology than Faerûn, but otherwise the same.

( keep it cool, william kaplan. don't be a giant nerd. don't loudly be a giant nerd, anyway. )
Sounds neat. But I can see how ending up here after being there would be a lot different.

[Nerd.]
We went to like 100 weird-ass worlds before we came to Faerûn, so it's not a big shock. I think my guys are like, the least confused about this multidimension deal.
no subject
Yeah, I get that. I went multiverse-hopping a bit before I got here, too. Maybe not to a hundred different places, I lost count.
no subject
Oh, neat. Which world was your fave?
no subject
My own, actually. A lot of the other ones were overrun and terrifying.
no subject
Ouch, that sounds rough.
no subject
I'm assuming most places have had elves at some point which is where the idea came from originally. I could be wrong.
Mine hasn't gotten overrun despite numerous attempts so it could be worse.
no subject
I suppose that could be true. Always makes me wonder why they're not there anymore, though?
That's something, at least.
