If you could have one wish, what would you wish for? Not like...money or anything. Not for powers, but what would you really wish for?

[Because it's her birthday, and she wasn't really in the mood to celebrate. Of course, she'll wish for her family to be okay, for them to remember and come here so they could meet Victor. But...would that be a waste of a wish? Sure, wishes were powerful, but she was in another world, and she didn't think they would be strong enough to pull her family from one realm to the next...

Or, maybe she's just over thinking things. Maybe she just wants to talk and not think about her birthday.]

I have those things, for the most part, at least. Not like super powers. But influence.

Earth. A very dead Earth by now. It's odd that in some realms, wishes can come true.

Oh...so you could do what you wanted to...in a way. [...Sounds like her step-grandmother. She's a bit wary now.]

Why...why would you wish for that? You want people to die?

[ Well, he already did that. So he made it come true. But, he's also a liar. ]

No, that's the current state of the Earth I'd go back to. I'd wish that a friend of mine wouldn't be stuck on an Earth like that.

[.....very wary now. Very wary.]

..Doesn't that get boring after a while?

[...She's still skeptical, but that's...a good wish, she thinks.]

Why is your world like that?

No. It's helped me accomplish a lot in the ways of my studies.

[ He enjoys talking about this. ]

My earth had prehistoric Demons that lived with the dinosaurs and other creatures. They grew and evolved over the extended course of history. They were able to take on the look of people in my time. And when humans are afraid, we fight. For the most part, humans wiped themselves out.

But, if you get everything you want, doesn't it make those things seem...boring? Or not as important?

[Okay that is both terrifying and sad at once. Terri-sad? Maybe?]

But you're still going to try and fight, right? To free your people?

Not really. I don't think money and power give most people everything they want.

[ He understands why it would be to people. He has zero regrets about it. ]

There's no one left to free. Well, there was me, but I'm here now. So I am, I suppose.

[ There's a level of indifference. He's managed to separate himself from this for the most part. ]

To some people, money and power give them anything they want.

[She knows from experience--somewhat. Like her step-grandmother for example.]

I am, too. But glad to be here. This place is much friendlier.

I'm very sorry. That view can be dangerous. And when I've witnessed it, it's backfired.

They are important places...it's something that runs in the family.

Mmhmm, and my Dad he's...an author. [That's one way to go about it.]

Is he? Do you aspire to be like him?

I aspire to be the person he was--is. [Henry..isn't gone forever. Right? Maybe he'll come back..maybe he didn't mean to leave.] But I don't know if I want to write like him.

Ah. I would say is. My understanding is returning home is the goal. So you'll see him again. [ Except him. But that's his own fault. So... ] Good. Making your own way is good.
