[The audio turns on to the sound of silence for the first few seconds before Lucy asks her question.]

If you could have one wish, what would you wish for? Not like...money or anything. Not for powers, but what would you really wish for?

[Because it's her birthday, and she wasn't really in the mood to celebrate. Of course, she'll wish for her family to be okay, for them to remember and come here so they could meet Victor. But...would that be a waste of a wish? Sure, wishes were powerful, but she was in another world, and she didn't think they would be strong enough to pull her family from one realm to the next...

Or, maybe she's just over thinking things. Maybe she just wants to talk and not think about her birthday.]

Yeah, I wouldn't name it after a betrayer anyway. If we're doing Shakespeare, go with something like Horatio or Caius.

Well, there's also a kid's show about Aladdin and it had a talking parrot named Iago. He's...annoying and the chick isn't annoying.

Horatio has a good sound to it...but..what if it's a girl? I don't think she may like that.

Aladdin. Huh, I feel like I've heard that name somewhere in town.

Another good point. Maybe a gender neutral name, then.

It's not a common name, and it's from another story, but I don't know if it's ...you know, like one of ours. [From the Enchanted Realm or a different one.]

Mmmhmm..so.....maybe Sam? Or...no...it'll come to mind, soon enough.

[jolting]

A lot of people showed up from the Land of Untold Stories. Maybe he was one of them. I honestly lost track after King Arthur and his court arrived in town.

Yeah, we'll think of a good name.

Maybe? Wait...King Arthur? The King Arthur? I think Henry mentioned this story once....with Camelot? You got to meet him?

[Victor, she loves you so much right now.]

Yeah, we will! Or...we could call the chick...Doctor? No...that's a title.

[jolting]

Kind of. He and his court were in town, so I saw them at check-ups.

That might get confusing, since we have me and Doctor Whale already.

Oh...so you didn't get to hear them tell any tales?

[Okay, fair point.]

Okay, then something else...we'll figure it out.

If they were swapping stories, it wasn't around me.

They were probably busy with knight stuff then? I don't know.

In the mean time...have you asked Jim yet?

Probably.

[he chuckles] I'll ask him next time I see him. Which will probably be soon.

I will. [and he may be sneakily getting her a present on his way home] And I'll be home soon. If you want anything special for dinner, let me know.

Nothing special. Just something we could cook together--and Jim, if he says yes.

Okay. I'll think of something we can all do together, and that'll be special enough.

It's already special because you and Jim will be there.

[She'll wait at home, waiting for him to come back first or Jim. Either way she hasn't really said that it's her birthday.]

That's very sweet of you to say, Lucy. [nice try, but you're still getting cake]

Well, it's the truth!

[She's not expecting anything cause...if she doesn't say anything, how could they ever find out?]

[jolting]

[he doesn't answer, as he's on his way home. It won't be clear he got a present for her, since it's in brown wrapping. If she wants to be secretive about her birthday, he'll be secretive about his gift.

And he might have talked to teachers and found out her birthday through the school. Not that he doesn't understand about wanting to ignore birthdays, but he wants to celebrate her anyway. She deserves it after all she's been through]

[Lucy was waiting on the couch, watching television and looking at her phone from time to time. The little porg is resting on her lap, quite comfortable there. She didn't want to talk about her birthday because she was missing her mom and dad, and everyone else...it was more of a downer than anything...

And on her last birthday, bad things happened...so she doesn't want to think about it too much.

Either way, she'll wait for Victor to get home.]

[jolting]

[he lets her watch in peace while he changes out of his work clothes and stores the ingredients he bought today. He makes it over to the couch and sits down next to her]

What are we watching?

It's...a crime show, I think?

[She was kind of zoning in and out of the television, and waiting for Victor to get more comfortable before picking up the tiny porg to take it off her lap, just so she could climb onto Victor's. She gives him a big hug and grins, happy that he's home again.]

Did you have a good day at work? Anything else exciting happen?

[jolting]

Oh, yeah. Those can be good if they're done well. I like good mysteries.

[he hugs her back] Got a few more people in for injuries. So far no casualties, which is good. Oh, and I bought a name book we can look through for your friend there.

It's interesting in that, I think they go over more about the science behind it and then tie it into the story.

[Maybe they could have a murder-mystery night? or play one of those mystery board games?]

Really? A name book is great! Soon they won't be nameless, and we'll find the perfect name for them. And...[There's a faint grin on her face.] I have extra pillows and blankets ready.

[jolting]

It's good they put in those details. The forensics can be just as important to the solution as any other factor.

[he cracks open the book, just flipping through the pages. It has a list of A-Z with explanations to the meaning and origin of each name. He pauses, giving her a smile]

That's very thoughtful. I'm sure James will appreciate it.
