[Normally, Taako is absolutely the sort of person who likes making sure everyone can see how good he's looking, if he's on the network, but things are Different today.]

So uh, hey, is anyone else fucking blind? Cause I'll put up with a lot of horseshit from this place but I'm drawing a line in the sand at taking my eyesight, I've got crap to do and like, I dunno about the rest of you dipshits but I need to see to do my job. There's no way I'm gonna keep burning spell slots on arcane eye or whatever.

[He's doing his best to sound chill about this but honestly, it sucks and it's a little troubling.]

Can someone hurry the fuck up and figure this out? Or at least recommend me fucking audiobooks or something, I guess? That's the level I'm sinking to here, audio-only media. This place is stupid as hell.

I dunno if it's a test or if the portal like, gets off on it, but it's stopped feeling random, that's for sure.

Do you ever catch a break? Like, the other day it was being turned into my teenage self and having to hide from Clarice until that went away, and now this. I thought I was coming here to like, relax, you know?

[ Like he knows how to do that anyway... ]

[He's starting to have too many feelings about this so he's just gonna switch to private. He doesn't mind talking about it with John, but that doesn't mean he wants it all over the network.]

In my experience it tends to be like, you get a couple months of chill where you can relax, and then everything fucking hits you at once for the next few months.

[It's started to get a little tiring, as much as he tries to push past it all.]

[ John grits his teeth. If being blind is not even bad for Taako anymore, he's not exactly looking forward to what else is in store. He lies back in bed, phone by his side, and runs a hand through his hair. ]

Is it just stuff like this, though? Or is it, I don't know. Stuff that's actually dangerous? Because that, I feel like I can deal with better. I'm used to risking my life, but it's things like this - waking up blind, turning into a kid - that gets to me.

[ It's hard to explain. Maybe because he should brush it off, and he finds that he can't. ]

Uh, I guess it gets kinda dangerous if you're fucking around outside the fences or like getting into fights with gods.

[In his defense, the fight with Thor was supposed to be friendly.]

It ended up okay for me - I found myself with people I do know, so that helped. But I can't imagine being stuck in someone else's head.

What kind of ghosts are we talking about? Random haunting horror movie type of thing, or more like, ghosts from your own past?

Nah, like sometimes people get magic or whatever here? Like it's tapping into something they always had but couldn't reach. But that's a dope thing not a fucked up thing.

Nah-- well, okay that did happen but it was temporary. More like, uh, my girl Bryn just sorta unlocked some kinda magic potential here? She had to start practicing with it but it's like legit and permanent, you know?

It's like they're trying to create God-like people... If you ever wind up with my powers, just be soft with door handles, man.

I mean I think it's more that this place is fucking weird when it comes to magic, cause you're dealing with energies from all kinda worlds.

[Rather than it being anything purposeful.]

Everything clashing with one another, hm? Would make sense that it sometimes goes a little screwy, I guess.
