[The video turns on to show Lucy in her room, and trying hard to keep a straight face because....things happened. Good things that is.

Trying to be positive, trying to be optimistic, but also being cautious....]

So....is it normal for things to randomly appear? I mean not 'falling out of the sky' random, but 'appearing out of thin air' random? There is a difference between the two.

Because, I just got something--well two somethings, and I'm not sure if it's real or if anything happened or if it's just magic.

[Normally Victor would just go over and see for himself whatever it is Lucy got, but he doesn't want to risk infecting her. So video it is]

What did you get?

Papa...

[Her expression softens, worrying about him. She's hoping he'll feel better.]

Something that could cheer you up...something from home. Can you take a guess?

Let me think about it.

[The first thing that comes to mind is his mother’s watch, but Lucy said two things. And if they appeared to Lucy, they would be more connected to her]

Is one of them a book?

[ Lucy was waiting patiently for Victor to guess and when he comes up with an answer she started to nod her head. ]

Not just a book, but the book.

[Lucy pulls from behind her the book she’s loved, and missed so much. Something that belonged to Henry and ties them in together. ]

It just appeared outside the door this morning along with photos of me, mom and Henry. From the Enchanted Realm.

[She pauses then, wondering how to go about asking this...]

Are you feeling better? I could read to you.

Oh, wow, that’s amazing. And you got pictures of your mom and Henry? I’d love to see those.

[Even though it’ll be surreal seeing Henry as an adult.

To her question, he shakes his head]

Whatever I have doesn’t behave like a normal virus. But I would like to hear the stories.

Yeah! I wanna show them to you and Jim. There’s even photos of Regina and Tiana too.

[ Along with other people, but better to show them off in person—or in video.

Her smile falters a little. She knows she can’t see him because he doesn’t want her to get sick but...it’s not the same if she can’t read to him and be in the same room. She’ll try and make the best of it though. ]

I’ll save my mom and Dad’s one for when you’re better, but I can read you Tiana’s story. She has her own kingdom and she was great friends with my mom. I don’t know who she is yet, but I think she’s still in Hyperion Heights. Is that okay?

I'm looking forward to seeing them.

[He shifts a little and gives a nod]

Go ahead.

Can't it be both real and magic?

I could slide them under your door...if you want?

[Because she doesn't like him being couped up in his room alone. She's not allowed in, but Jim is because he's an adult and blah blah blah.]

Okay, hold on...

[She gets up, taking both the book and her device with her until she's out in the hallway, near his door but not touching it. She mutes her device but then shouts:]

Can you hear me?

Well, it could be...that isn't so far fetched.

But, now I'm wondering what else I need to do for other things to suddenly appear.

No, that's okay. You can keep them. I'll look through them with you when I'm feeling better.

[He chuckles a bit at her shouting]

Yes, I can hear you. Don't shout, though, okay?

Some things from home make their way into the Quarantine, if that's what you're asking. Mostly through the portal. My motorcycle, for instance— it was my dad's.

[ He tilts his head a little at her. ]

Is that what you mean? What did you get?

I wo--! [Wait, still shouting. Let's try that again.]

Sorry, but you can hear me so...

[She leaves the video on so he can see what she's doing. She sits down in the hallway, placing the big book on her lap and starts to read the tale of Princess Tiana. How she was a young woman who had a Kingdom, but the people were losing faith in her. Their kingdom was losing money, and she was tempted to ask for the help of the Shadow Man, Dr. Facilier.

She paused to show the picture of Tiana before continuing on, explaining how Tiana didn't agree to the Dr. Facilier's conditions and found her own to help restore her kingdom. Tiana continued on, even engaging with a resistance group to stop Lady Tremaine--which was how she met Henry and Cinderella.

There were other trials she faced, but she proved to be a great queen.]

You got a motorcycle? How come I've never seen you use it?

[Next question will obviously be if she could ride with him, but one thing at a time.]

Yes! I got two things that suddenly appeared and I thought it was magic, but it still doesn't take away how awesome it is.

Take a guess.

[Play along, Jim, just guess!]

Well, I haven't really used it since I got hurt, but it's parked just outside the house now. You've probably seen it— that's my bike.

[ Also he's the Fun Dad, she doesn't even need to ask if he'll take her for a ride. Obviously he will. (And then Victor will probably kill him for it, no big deal.) ]

Hm... sounds like they're important to you, so... I'm gonna guess one of them is that book you like so much.

[ Since she had mentioned once the possibility of it showing up here. ]

That’s your bike?! I thought it belonged to the neighbor!

[ Okay, Jim officially the fun parent and reminds her a bit of Henry. He had a bike too.

His guess is met with a big grin. ]

Not just any book.

[ She reaches behind her, taking out a book that’s bigger than her lap and holds it up. ]

It’s the book. The one Henry had with the first curse but it has our stories in it! Like Emma’s and Henry’s.

[ Jim chuckles a little at that. ]

Yeah, that's my bike. Surprise?

[ Victor is a science dork, and Jim flies a shuttle for a living. How is it even an argument which one is the cool parent?? ]

That's the one I meant, yes. That's great, Lucy. Does this mean you can read me their stories now?

It’s a great surprise! I didn’t know you had one or could ride.

[ Both of them are cool parents, but Victor was her favorite and Jim was the more “adventurous” parent. Either way, she’s lucky to have both. ]

Yes I can, but I’m saving the story of Henry and my mom for when Papa gets better. I want to read that to both of you. Maybe when you get home I could read you Prince Charming’s?

[ And then it hits her. ]

Did you grab the lunch I made you? It was in a brown bag on top of the kitchen counter.

[He gets up, which he'll probably hear about later, but he does it to open the door a crack and hear her better. And since he's up anyway, he's just going to sit by the open door.

He listens as she tells the story. It doesn't surprise him to find she's a natural storyteller with her family. He smiles at the picture of Tiana. Of course Henry would make friends with a fierce princess]

That's a great story, Luce.

Sure I can. I can drive or pilot anything. [ Almost anything— and even what he doesn't know he can learn very quickly, so. ] You know what this means, right?

[ His smile wanes a little when she mentions Victor being sick, but he pushes past it. He's tried not to worry Lucy too much, but he's been following Victor's progress and it's a little worrying. He's not looking any better. ]

Alright. Prince Charming's story, then. [ And Victor does call him Captain Charming so he has a personal interest in the guy's story too. ]

I did. It was delicious, thank you. Although I'm pretty sure I'm the one who should be packing up your lunch. [ JUST KIDDING. Don't let Jim cook anything. ]

So this hasn't happened before, then?

Means we're going on an adventure soon, right?

[When Victor is feeling better, and when things have calmed down. Maybe they could all go out on a picnic, or actually go out camping. They could do anything, really, but Victor needed to get better first. She knew he was sick and not at his best. She hasn't been able to see much of him, even though they're in the same household. He's quarantined and she's...not.]

Okay, I'll tell it to you when you go home, deal?

[Her grin widens then, pleased to hear he enjoyed the sandwich she made.]

Well, if we have left over pizza, you could always pack that for me. Though...maybe I should go to the market and pick something up for all of us? Soup and bread? Or more cold medicine?

[Yes, he was going to hear about it later because he should be in bed! Maybe they should invest in germ masks or something, she really hates being apart like this from him.]

Mmhhmm, and you should get back into bed. Do you need help, Papa?

Not to me, no. I've never had random stuff appear for me before...

You?

No, I can get there. I just needed to stretch my legs.

[And he does manage to get back to bed. He doesn't particularly like being cooped up here and not being able to hold her, but he'll endure that rather than infect her]
