Trying to be positive, trying to be optimistic, but also being cautious....]

So....is it normal for things to randomly appear? I mean not 'falling out of the sky' random, but 'appearing out of thin air' random? There is a difference between the two.

Because, I just got something--well two somethings, and I'm not sure if it's real or if anything happened or if it's just magic.

[Normally Victor would just go over and see for himself whatever it is Lucy got, but he doesn't want to risk infecting her. So video it is]

[Her expression softens, worrying about him. She's hoping he'll feel better.]

Something that could cheer you up...something from home. Can you take a guess?

Let me think about it.

[The first thing that comes to mind is his mother’s watch, but Lucy said two things. And if they appeared to Lucy, they would be more connected to her]

Is one of them a book?

[ Lucy was waiting patiently for Victor to guess and when he comes up with an answer she started to nod her head. ]

Not just a book, but the book.

[Lucy pulls from behind her the book she’s loved, and missed so much. Something that belonged to Henry and ties them in together. ]

It just appeared outside the door this morning along with photos of me, mom and Henry. From the Enchanted Realm.

[She pauses then, wondering how to go about asking this...]

Are you feeling better? I could read to you.

[jolting]

Oh, wow, that’s amazing. And you got pictures of your mom and Henry? I’d love to see those.

[Even though it’ll be surreal seeing Henry as an adult.

To her question, he shakes his head]

Whatever I have doesn’t behave like a normal virus. But I would like to hear the stories.

Yeah! I wanna show them to you and Jim. There’s even photos of Regina and Tiana too.

[ Along with other people, but better to show them off in person—or in video.

Her smile falters a little. She knows she can’t see him because he doesn’t want her to get sick but...it’s not the same if she can’t read to him and be in the same room. She’ll try and make the best of it though. ]

I’ll save my mom and Dad’s one for when you’re better, but I can read you Tiana’s story. She has her own kingdom and she was great friends with my mom. I don’t know who she is yet, but I think she’s still in Hyperion Heights. Is that okay?

I'm looking forward to seeing them.

[He shifts a little and gives a nod]

Some things from home make their way into the Quarantine, if that's what you're asking. Mostly through the portal. My motorcycle, for instance— it was my dad's.

[ He tilts his head a little at her. ]

Yes! I got two things that suddenly appeared and I thought it was magic, but it still doesn't take away how awesome it is.

Well, I haven't really used it since I got hurt, but it's parked just outside the house now. You've probably seen it— that's my bike.

[ Also he's the Fun Dad, she doesn't even need to ask if he'll take her for a ride. Obviously he will. (And then Victor will probably kill him for it, no big deal.) ]

Hm... sounds like they're important to you, so... I'm gonna guess one of them is that book you like so much.

[ Since she had mentioned once the possibility of it showing up here. ]

[ Okay, Jim officially the fun parent and reminds her a bit of Henry. He had a bike too.

[ She reaches behind her, taking out a book that’s bigger than her lap and holds it up. ]

It’s the book. The one Henry had with the first curse but it has our stories in it! Like Emma’s and Henry’s.

[ Victor is a science dork, and Jim flies a shuttle for a living. How is it even an argument which one is the cool parent?? ]

That's the one I meant, yes. That's great, Lucy. Does this mean you can read me their stories now?

It’s a great surprise! I didn’t know you had one or could ride.

[ Both of them are cool parents, but Victor was her favorite and Jim was the more “adventurous” parent. Either way, she’s lucky to have both. ]

Yes I can, but I’m saving the story of Henry and my mom for when Papa gets better. I want to read that to both of you. Maybe when you get home I could read you Prince Charming’s?

[ And then it hits her. ]
