We’re happy to present the American Eagle. Customized for this very celebration, Captain America’s birthday. It has many features. Note its colourful plumage and the fact that it can sing the national . . . anthem? I believe that is what it called. Though why a nation needs its own song, I know not.

[Tony rolling his eyes.]

Because God Bless America etc etc. Our great nation was created so we may all look upon those asses today.

And since I blessed it last year, I have come again to bless it once more. With this eagle and my continued presence to his ass.

[Presenting the burd. It starts to sing.



Tony meanwhile is taken aback.]

Wait what? When did you hit that? Which one?!

[ Loki scratches the eagle's back with a hum. ]

Which one do you think, Stark?

[He stares very intensely at Loki before shrugging.]

I give up, I thought incest was the likelier option.

[dothelokimotion]

[ He chuckles. ]

I wouldn't do that to Thor.

[inebriety]

But I did. [Only once, but since it happened there's a precedent.]

Come on, give me a hint.

[ Loki purses his lips, pretending to mull it over. ]

That doesn't sound like much fun though. I rather keep you guessing.

[Tony is going to do something really drastic to the next Steve he sees to figure it out if he doesn't get something soon.]

Give me something else then. When did it happen?

[dothelokimotion]

[ Telling him when would immediately clue Stark on who it was, but Loki didn't mind. ]

[Except it doesn't and now Tony thinks it's the Steve from Loki's own world because the other Steve has been insisting on becoming friends and friendship was supposed to mean sharing things.]

Wow, that's impressive. Has your anniversary passed yet?

I believe so? I'm not very good with dates.

[ It's not something Asgardians keep track of. ]

[inebriety]

Anniversaries are important to us humans. You should try to do something even if it is late.

[dothelokimotion]

[ Would the date really matter that much to Steve? Loki finds that unlikely, but it can't hurt. ]

I did magically create this bird.

Birthdays are a different date to remember.

[ Loki frowns. ]

There are far too many of these to remember.

I doubt even mortals can remember all of these clearly without some other system in place.

Yeah, I usually pay someone to keep track for me. Although I think other people use calendars.

[dothelokimotion]

[ Hmm. ]

I suppose there are only so many dates in a mortal's lifetime.

[inebriety]

Now you get it. It's such a simple way to show someone you care, but it's incredibly effective.

[Also if Loki doesn't keep Steve happy, Tony is personally going to kill him.]

He is well aware of that.

[ But Loki enjoys being demonstrative anyway. ]

[inebriety]

Knowing up here [He taps the side of his head.] is different from knowing here. [Then he taps his chest.]

That's more your problem than Steve's, Stark.

Do you really want to risk it?

[ Loki rolls his eyes. ]

Our relationship is not in a risky position.
