[ Well, here we have a username that hasn't been seen on the network in a while. The video itself is, alas, distorted at the moment. It seems the device itself is being moved rather quickly from hand to hand. ]

-- bloody well doing alright by myself.

[ And then there's Peggy Carter and a native nurse who has apparently made the mistake of trying to open and hold the device for her. It's enough to get her chased out as the woman struggles to sit up. On her way out, the nurse does take a few bloodied bandages with her. ]

Well, turns out one can get promoted in their absence.

[ She holds up a file of pages, apparently her new job description. ]

Is it too much to hope that my house is still intact?

[Well there's a voice that gets Tony's attention right away.]

...Peggy? You're back?

[And a brief pause as he gets a good look at her.]

Are you okay?

Tony.

[ her voice cracks, a combination of raw exhaustion and a tinge of emotion. Coming back has been a confusing swirl of frustration laced with a drop of hope that some of her old connections are still in the city.

But Tony has always been something beyond an ally, beyond even a friend.

One would expect a burst of sentimentality but. ]

Good God, man. You look dreadful.

[ Pot meet kettle. ]

[He smiles, small but genuine, before it vanishes into a wryer expression.]

Yeah, I'm not the one in the hospital.

[Right now, anyway.]

Want company?

That doesn't mean much. Lord knows you aren't likely to go to one even if you'd need to. Must be dragged by the ear, I wager.

[ but she is smiling right back at him, indicating that perhaps she, too, has been dragged here against her will. ]

If you bring me flowers, you will be shown the way out, this is your only warning.

I wouldn't dream of it.

[Look, he's not going to say anything about certain habits while injured. And he's too pleased to see her again to make too much of an idiot of himself.]

Maybe some chocolate, though. Or ice cream?

[Which isn't to say he's not going to tease a little.]

I wouldn't terribly mind some ice cream.

[ The food they give here is the best nutritional choice, of course but she doesn't give a damn about health or nutrition at the moment. Her whole body still hurts, she can't seen to get herself to stand up and so, if she wants something, she's going to have to ask him for it.

She's willing to put aside her pride for ice cream. and also - ]

You should have something strong on your person, as well.

[Tony pauses for just a second, then attempts to affect a serious look. It doesn't really work, he's too happy to see her, but he is trying.]

Fine. But no drinking it while you're on painkillers.

[There are a few things he'll stick by, and that's one of them.]

Yes, sir.

[ She shifts with a slight wince but the next moment she offers him a small smile and a little salute. ]

At your command, sir.

[So very dry, though he hasn't missed that flinch.]

Give me five and I'll be there.

[A slight pause.]

It's good to see you, Peggy.

[mannerism]

[ So! it has been a rather terrible day. Whitney Frost has gotten away and peggy's plan has gone awry, to say the very least. A fall, a rebar, blood and now this.

Not a very impressive return and yet. ]

It's damn good to see you, too. Five minutes.
