[ Well, here we have a username that hasn't been seen on the network in a while. The video itself is, alas, distorted at the moment. It seems the device itself is being moved rather quickly from hand to hand. ]

-- bloody well doing alright by myself.

[ And then there's Peggy Carter and a native nurse who has apparently made the mistake of trying to open and hold the device for her. It's enough to get her chased out as the woman struggles to sit up. On her way out, the nurse does take a few bloodied bandages with her. ]

Well, turns out one can get promoted in their absence.

[ She holds up a file of pages, apparently her new job description. ]

Is it too much to hope that my house is still intact?

[Well there's a voice that gets Tony's attention right away.]

...Peggy? You're back?

[And a brief pause as he gets a good look at her.]

Are you okay?

[A little time after her broadcast, she'll find her peace is interrupted by a head peaking with unabashed curiosity around the corner of her hospital room door. He was being super covert here — mainly, he wanted to see if the woman in the feed was well and truly Peggy Carter, one of the coolest chicks in history. Um. No bias here, not at all.

He technically was coming in to get this little wrist cast removed; he's only worn it for, like, three days. But it was important to make sure the bones were all in the right place, or else he'd be the Amazing Picasso-Man instead.

His motions are so slow... so still... he has mastered the art of invisibility.

Or he's a sore thumb. Mostly a sore thumb.]

[very dryly:] I let the mice take it over. So it's still intact, just riddled with small holes and probably doll furniture.

[no he didn't he's just joking

also about an hour later - give a man time to cook, okay? - he shows up with a nicely arranged plate of caramel blondies]

Hey, you and Tony'll have matching scars.

[He pulls a chair up to Peggy's bed and sets the plate down on the table. The crack is more than it seems, an offering of information Tony might be reluctant to share on his own.

(Tony's going to kill him.)]

the hospital is the WORST, right?

[Peggy! Steve is both surprised and delighted, but he's managing to hold that in under some concern. It's almost too fitting that he's seeing her apparently in the hospital.]

Take it easy on them. I don't know if they can take you.

[Cullen watches the struggle between the woman and the nurse and has to bite back a smile. It's much like he has behaved during his own injuries. And that like someone else he knows.]

I suppose that a promotion can be both an good thing and a bad, depending on what it is. When it comes with paperwork, it can come with a great deal of headaches as well.

[Guess who doesn't miss the millions of reports he had to shift through back home?]

( skye's never actually met peggy carter. to be fair, the woman didn't do much active duty-ing in her elder years, and certainly wouldn't have had reason to interact with coulson and co in their gallivanting adventures. that doesn't meean, however, that skye doesn't know the name, or the face, or even to some degree the clipped tones of a british woman who's just about had enough of someone else's shit.

the video camera had been still a fairly new invention in the 1940s, but shield had always been ahead of its days. there were a few videos, not many, of the agency's founding female member. skye had watched those with rapt attention. the videos of howard and the rest? not so much.

thus, the smallest hesitation in between the beginning of her video feed and her first words, one that might even hint at a little bit of starstruck admiration. ) The P wouldn't happen to stand for Peggy, would it?

( 'ma'am' gets swallowed down, hard. same for 'agent'. )

[Well, that's new, it's the first time she's heard of someone coming back, never mind coming back with a promotion. So she wants to ask questions, but for now she just settles for:]

Is saying welcome back okay?

[Richard can't help chuckling at how she treats the nurse.]

I don't think I've seen anyone yell at the hospital staff yet. It's refreshing.

[Interesting...so this person came back? But there's more of a pressing matter with those bloodied bandages.]</small. Are you okay?

[There's a voice and a face he hadn't allowed himself believe he'd see again. But his relief and happiness is quickly distracted by the sight of the bloody bandages. Despite her calmness he can't disguise the concern in his voice or face.]

Peggy? Are you alright?
